When I was a child, I had an unsuccessful tilt at being a child actor. I once auditioned for a small role in NORBIT (2007). I didn’t get it. And now I have to live with the fact that I was so shit at acting that I couldn’t even get a role in NORBIT (2007).

It’s time for Star Wars to end.
NEW: Why did EA shut down BioWare? Twitter thinks the studio failed because it was too woke. BlueSky thinks Saudi Arabia killed the studio for being too gay. The real reason? Star Wars bloomberg.com/news/newslette…

Not sure if this as much of a fringe take as it used to be, but imo Return of the Jedi is a lot closer in tone and quality to the prequels than it is to the rest of the Original Trilogy. A lot of the same strengths, a lot of the same weaknesses.

Why is it always ‘Walter Koenig dead at 90’ and ‘Patrick Stewart dead at 86’ and never ‘[REDACTED] dead at [REDACTED]’

Sorry to Star Wars post again but the ‘Gen Z men love the prequels because of some right wing grievances’ is especially goofy in the context of Lucas’s politics—a guy shaped by 60s left wing counterculture! He might as well think that Nixon was the devil!

One of the funnier elements of the 'were prequels considered good at the time' thing is that these conversations are all pretty well documented. The reviews from critics are still available! Even if you only care about fan reactions, lots of old forums are still up!

Of course, there's a limit to this stuff--the youngest audiences weren't on the forums at the time. But, like, we don't have to speculate! There's plenty of evidence!

Lonely is the man who likes the Star Wars prequels for all the good and accurate reasons, and not for any of the silly, made up reasons.

What if we just built a replica of the Oval Office in a mental hospital and told him he won re-election?

“Star Wars: Battlefront 3” is actively in development at Electronic Arts, multiple sources confirmed to Variety. The news comes as EA undergoes its first major restructuring since going private this summer, with layoffs expected to affect about 400 staffers (3% of its global workforce). variety.com/2026/digital/new…

You can probably count the number of good Metallica songs post AJFA on one hand. They’ve been a bad band for far, far longer than they’ve been a good one.
Metallica died with Cliff Burton and that’s really all there is to it

As a former Metallica obsessed teen, I feel qualified to speak on this one. Even ~20ish years ago, it felt clear that they were well past it.
