Wow! @GovPritzker killed it in the debate. His record is incredible. He might be the best governor in America. Look at all these categories where Illinois ranks number one. #1 in highest property taxes #1 in highest combined state/local tax burden #1 in cell phone taxes #1 in local government bureaucracy #1 in fiscal instability #1 in worst state pension crisis #1 in state pension debt #1 in pension debt per capita #1 in lowest bond ratings #1 in public corruption convictions #1 in biggest gas tax increase since 2019 #1 in eliminating school choice #1 in lowest fiscal transparency #1 in gerrymandering Pritzker is #1! And by "killed it," I mean Illinois has the worst-run state government in U.S. history.

Dear god it’s bad news in downtown Chicago for commercial real estate. Massive buildings are being completely abandoned. Taxpayers across Cook County will be forced to pick up the property tax burden. We need a property tax cap.
55 E. Jackson Blvd. Chicago, Illinois is up for sale after the lender that sought to foreclose on it decided abandoning the building was smarter than seizing it. 452,186 SF entirely vacant except for ground floor retail leases with Potbelly and Starbucks. Bids are expected just below $25 per square foot, or roughly $11M. Leasehold interest sold for $64M in 2019. "Ready Capital and Marc Realty terminated the ground lease to help prepare the building for a sale, according to CBRE. Proceeds from a sale would be placed in escrow, and parties involved in the property will be able to file claims for that money through the court, according to CoStar News." The city filed a lawsuit against the building's owner over building code violations in an effort to stabilize the structure. In response to the city's legal action, a Cook County judge appointed CNR Advisors to serve as the receiver for the property. CNR Advisors authorized the sale and hired CBRE brokers to put the property on the market. -Crain's Chicago / CoStar #CommercialRealEstate

Our Governor needs a mental fitness check. I don’t think he’s all there.
Today, Illinois is the best state in America for workers, and I’m going to fight alongside UAW members to keep it that way. It is an honor to be endorsed by @UAW.

As a girl dad of an athlete I want to enjoy the WNBA, but I’m out!
Both WNBA Finals teams left the court for the national anthem for the fourth straight game. Many fans in Atlanta also remained seated during the performance, several with their hats still on.

To tax infinity… and beyond! 🚀 Illinois taxes are out of this world: 🥇 Combined state & local effective tax rate 🥇 Wireless taxes 🥇 Property taxes (tied) Illinois taxpayers deserve relief, Gov. Pritzker. Enough with the tricks!
I think the word you're searching for is 'Space Ranger.' It was truly out of this world to welcome trick-or-treaters to the Governor’s Mansion today — thanks to everyone who stopped by!

Communism is so bad that they had to build a wall to keep their citizens in. It's shocking to me that the Democratic Party is dating the Democratic Socialists of America, who want to bring this horrible idea back.

Gov. Pritzker has voted for 173 local property-tax hikes during his tenure as Governor. These hikes total more than $10B. Everything he says Trump or Bailey has done, he has done 10X worse.
Darren Bailey voted against my plan to make wealthy Illinoisans pay their fair share. And he voted to raise property taxes 13 times.

Fact Check: Pritzker has raised taxes on Illinois families by $18,036 per household. Trump reduced taxes by $17,037 per Illinois household. That's a $175B difference in tax records. I oppose Tariffs, but Pritzker can't hold a candle to Trump's tax cuts for Illinois families.
Start with the $3,325 Donald Trump stole from every Illinois family.

Why are the only companies we can attract to Illinois receiving massive corporate welfare subsidies funded by taxpayers? He's selling out small businesses for the billionaire class.
Hyundai Translead’s expanded investment is a big deal for Illinois, take it from me.

What have Pritzker and Stratton done in the past 8 years to make Illinois better? Please don’t write “credit upgrades” because those were paid for by us the taxpayers

What about Illinois pension debt? Which has increased by more than $10B under Pritzker?
Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. In Illinois, we’ve erased over $1.4 billion in medical debt for nearly 700,000 Illinoisans, capped insulin at $35 a month, and cut prescription drug prices.
