My mom's dream was that every student would learn Latin and Greek.

Good point. I was surprised to learn 10 years ago that 'classical education' in the US was code for 'traditional liberal arts' and did not necessarily imply the teaching of classical languages. Yet many of the best classical schools, like those sponsored by @MemoriaPress , did insist on learning Latin to a high standard.

Today my eldest received his Bachelor of the Arts (Latin)… I’m going to have to build some more storage space to pack away all this fatherly pride. He’s a little bit taller these days … and he’s got a beard and such … but, same wise before his years fella

Our seniors will see both of these statues in Florence and Rome in a little over a month. Bernini at 23 yo is my favorite.
