Our houses put their creativity to the test this week with a pumpkin decorating competition for house points!

Art allows students to exercise their creativity while learning to appreciate beauty and the work of great artists. Happy National Art Day from HLS! #HLS #HighlandsLatinSchool #Art #ClassicalEducation

House volunteering takes many different forms, and our students are always finding ways to step in and serve. New to the Upper School building this year is a beautiful grand piano. This addition gives students the opportunity to volunteer their time and talent by playing for their peers each morning during carpool. At every drop-off location, Upper School students also volunteer to welcome their classmates and help younger students into their classrooms. Serving one another really is a great way to start the school day!

Coffee Chats are a chance for HLS parents to fellowship, enjoy fresh coffee and pastries, and hear from our administrators about the thought behind their children’s education. To kick off the school year, today’s conversation focused on starting well and building good habits. #HighlandsLatinSchool #ClassicalEducation #HLS

We may be one week out from Upper School Advance, but rumor has it, Houses have already begun racking up points. For the past 25 years, one House has had the honor of claiming the victory, and more recently, adding their coin to the house cup as commemoration. As we look back at our past champions, we can't help but wonder: who will this year's winner be? 🏆 #HighlandsLatinSchool #ClassicalEducation #HouseSystem

Highlands Latin School is proud to announce that four members of the Class of 2026 have received appointments to the U.S. Air Force Academy: Caleb Bryant, Max Ingram, Max LePrell, and Max McFarland. The achievement is extraordinary. Each year, the Academy receives around 11,000 applications and selects fewer than 1,100 students nationwide. This year, our graduating class of just 35 students produced four appointees. Congratulations to these young men!
