One prelate says converting non-Catholics is poison; another defends the Great Commission but hedges on salvation. When both sides water down eternity, what are the faithful to do? The answer — and the remedy to our ecclesial ills — is found in the three theological virtues. catholicism.org/ad-rem-no-51… via @SBC_Catholic

Bingo. Tim knows Aristotle and I'm not shocked he's speaking this. It's all about scale as Kirkpatrick Sales writes in "Human Scale". If you aren't speaking about national divorce as a solution, then you aren't bringing up solutions. So far, I only know of @timotheeology, @TheKingDude and myself (in the Catholic sphere) who bring this up. Others just mock it without any rational response back. I've heard it all as weak excuses.
WATCH: Timothy Gordon (@timotheeology) tells @calvinrobinson that America needs more than regime change; a national divorce in the United States into 100,000 person polities. He believes Aristotle would want the same.

Here is that holy Oratorian of Saint Philip Neri, Father Frederick William Faber, eloquently condemningthe emerging indifferentism of his day (“in the meridian splendor of the Nineteenth Century”!). A diminishing hatred of heresy among Catholics is a sign of a diminishing faith and a diminishing love of God. Note, not only is hatred of heresy not the same thing as hating heretics; we cannot love them aright (i.e., supernaturally) unless we hate their heresy. It thrills me to imagine his words echoing around the splendor of the London Oratory! Such zeal and splendor go well together. wp.me/p3KkdO-6r via @SBC_Catholic

Here are some parts of the interview that @HQWhiteRabbit and other Trumpsplainers don’t want you to see — parts where @TheoVon (to his great credit!) presents several uncomfortable truths about Israel to which @SenJohnKennedy has zero substantive answers. A few observations: • Sen. Kennedy’s “point of view” that “the real problem in the Middle East” from time immemorial has been Iran is patently absurd — Prof. Jeffrey Sachs explains why here: youtube.com/watch?v=sFow6dOM… • Those (like Sen. Kennedy) who think Israel is the ‘innocent victim’ of the Middle East clearly know nothing about the Nakba: catholicism.org/the-nakba-an… • IDF violence against Palestinian civilians is well documented and undeniably intentional: lifesitenews.com/analysis/is… • Yes, there is evidence that Bibi @netanyahu has indeed helped build up Hamas as part of his long-term strategy: lifesitenews.com/opinion/did… H/T to @Brother_Andre and @PatrickDDelaney for their excellent articles (linked above). Video source: youtube.com/watch?v=BH0U8Se8…
🚨 BREAKING: IRAN WAS MINUTES FROM LAUNCHING HELL ON EUROPE! 🚨 Sen. John Kennedy just dropped the BOMBSHELL classified intel that changes EVERYTHING: “Our intelligence showed Iran stacking ballistic missiles and killer drones like never before… They were about to turn to America and Israel and SNARL: ‘We’re restarting our nuclear weapons program — and if you try to stop us, we’ll OBLITERATE the Middle East… and oh yeah, our missiles now reach LONDON, PARIS, and GERMANY!’” Trump faced the nightmare decision: Let them arm up until they could rain fire on our allies and threaten the homeland… OR STRIKE FIRST AND SAVE THE WORLD? He chose to BOMB their nuclear sites and STOP THE MADNESS. This wasn’t politics. This was SURVIVAL. If Trump hadn’t acted, where would we be right now? 🔥 Drop your thoughts below — Did he save us or not? RT if you stand with strength over surrender! 🇺🇸💥 FOLLOW ME THE NEXT DROPS WILL BE SHOCKING

The very last time a Pope was condemned for the crime of heresy was in A.D. 869, Session 10, at the Church's 8th Ecumenical Council: "Together with the aforesaid councils we accept as in harmony and agreement the holy ecumenical sixth council, which sagely asserted that int he two natures of the one Christ there are in consequence two operations and the same number of wills; we therefore anathematize Theodore, bishop of Pharan, Sergius, Pyrrhus, Paul and Peter, impious bishops of the Church of Constantinople, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 Honorius of Rome 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 with Cyrus of Alexandria, Macarius of Antioch, and his disciple Stephen, who, 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐬 Apollinarius, Eutyches and Severus, taught without sense or reason that the flesh of God, animated by a rational and intellectual soul, lacks both will and operation. For if one and the same Christ and Lord is perfect God and perfect man, it is most certain that in no part of the natures in him is he without will or operation, but it was rather through willing and acting according to both substances that he accomplished the great mystery of the dispensation." That a man can be a great Catholic historian (or philosopher or theologian, for that matter), and still be deceived about current events makes this post by Padre Silveira worth considering.
Professor Roberto de Mattei has written a piece speculating that the Vatican authorities’ prohibitions - absurd and unjust, I would add - on the Summorum Pontificum Pilgrimage were due to the choice of Bishop Athanasius Schneider, because of the defence he made of the SSPX. We must remember that, regarding Covid, the Professor treated it as a genuine epidemic, refusing to acknowledge that the real “epidemic” at issue was the imposition of tyranny. He also criticised those who, as a matter of principle, refused the vaccines because they had been developed using research involving aborted foetuses. Professor de Mattei has already proved himself to be a great historian. I cannot recommend highly enough his books on the Second Vatican Council, on Pascendi Dominici Gregis, and on Cardinal Merry del Val. Yet, in analysing current affairs, he has also shown that he can be thoroughly deceived. Especially when he wants to prove that God intended to punish the world with that disease, or that the persecution of the Traditional Mass is the SSPX’s fault.

And I say this as someone whose read at least one of Prof. de Mattei's wonderful books (the one on Vatican II, published in English by Loreto), and numerous articles of his.

Another Saint Leonard today: Saint Leonard of Limoges He was a nobleman at the court of Clovis, the first Catholic King of France. King Clovis was his godfather. Saint Leonard was even more noted for his sanctity than for his nobility. catholicism.org/saint-leonar… via @SBC_Catholic

Strange dialogue.
You quote a Protestant Bible, but you are certainly free to call yourself what you want. You have the agency to call yourself irreligious. Historical Christianity had a place for sacraments, liturgy, icons, and relics because historical Christians understood more about the Incarnational economy of the religion than irreligious people like you. Here is some proof: catholicism.org/left-behind.… Your claim that I am “denying Christ’s teaching that the relationship between any individual and God is a personal relationship” is false and unproven. Being “religious” and a member of Christ’s Church is not to be “impersonal” in one’s relationship with the Man-God. Typically Protestant, again, to separate what God has joined together. Apparently you irreligious people have that in common with Protestants.

Today is the Feast of the Holy Relics! Contrary to the Protestant false narrative about relics, the custom is not pagan at all (they objected to it, too), but Christian — and from antiquity. So... kiss a relic today... devoutly. catholicism.org/the-holy-rel… via @SBC_Catholic
