Ahead of @TheTonyAwards Sunday, learn more from my story about how @CarnegieMellon alumni Corey Cott in the leading role and Jen Caprio's costume designs bring @HeartofRNRBway 's high-energy, sherbet-colored 1980s to life: cmu.edu/news/stories/archive…
Thank you to the nice gentleman at the @AHNtoday West Penn parking cashier!
Instead of sending this to the @PittsburghPG #RandomActOfKindness, I am posting here and gave to @ThePUPNews in his honor:

"There’s a very human element to radio that is lost in the Spotify algorithms. We’re not trying to be generic, we’re trying to be weird in all the ways that we can ..."
Happy 75th anniversary at @CarnegieMellon, @wrct883!

“(H)aving the students themselves lead this and shape it in the way that they find interesting results in more student engagement" in #sustainability efforts, said @alexhiniker of @sustainCMU, as in this year's @CarnegieMellon Voluntary University Review:

The bunny rides @PGHtransit! Happy belated #Easter!
On this gray and rainy Monday morning, thank you to the two little boys dancing at their bus stop on Penn Avenue in Wilkinsburg and making me smile to start my week. – at Wilkinsburg, PA
Thanks for thinking of me, @PittsburghMag 😊🍫 My favorite story was back in March (I'm biased!): pittsburghmagazine.com/flips…
Beyond excited to share: Today is my first day as a writer for the Marketing & Communications department at @CarnegieMellon!
I consider it a privilege to tell the stories of the ambitious students, faculty and staff at the university. No doubt in mind: My heart is in the work.
Thank you, @Erika_Stanish @KDKA, for speaking to my @PointParkU Public Affairs Reporting class!
She, @EdBlazina @ThePUPNews, @JamieWiggan @PublicSourcePA & @kileykoscinski @905wesa all shared insights this semester about covering local govt & holding officials accountable. TY!
Two powerhouses in @Acrisure & @ChildrensPgh Foundation came together in this story, so I was happy to work on it, using my combination of #journalism skills and #PR experience, when asked by @PittsburghMag:

Robots that help people get dressed
- sim to real policy learning
- different poses, postures, articles of clothing
- 17 person user study
Really nice progress towards something that will genuinely improve quality of life
My latest for @SCSatCMU:
👕 92% of nursing facility residents & at-home care patients require assistance with dressing
🤖 @CMU_Robotics researchers @YufeiWang25 & @s_zhanyi are working toward a future where #robots can help. #AI #artificalintelligence

I am grateful to @NiemanLab for picking up @PGHindependent’s coverage of The Incline (and pittsburgh media’s) decline, but the feeling is bittersweet, especially as the story was updated to include @WESAconfluence as the latest PGH media casualty. niemanlab.org/2023/07/pittsb…
Well said. @DailyCollegian was invaluable to me as a journalist and my experience there informs my career, even now.
I always say I got my degree from @penn_state but I went to school at the @DailyCollegian. The Collegian is the reason I chose Penn State. Cutting its funding is short sighted and will hurt the university. (1/3)

A @CMU_Robotics team has created RobotSweater, a machine-knitted textile "skin" that can sense contact and pressure. With cost-effective fabrication using snaps, the work could be implemented in industrial settings as a less bulky safety sensor mechanism.

My latest for @SCSatCMU looks at feedback from Black girls to better understand their interactions with #artificialintelligence.
The team found #AI #STEMeducation should incl. leadership roles (e.g. designers, creators & project leaders) not only coding.

SO cool to write about RobotSweater for my latest @SCSatCMU story.
The machine-knitted textile 'skin' can sense contact and pressure when touched using two layers of conductive yarn that closes a circuit. Check it out:

The team presented at @ieee_ras_icra last week and the story was featured in @IEEESpectrum on Friday. 🙌
Congrats to the team, and as always, thanks to @tinynotebook for the opportunity.
Glad to write about this for @SCSatCMU — thank you to @tzushengkuo & @hongshenus (congrats again on your #CHI2023 Best Paper Award! 🏆) ... and thank you to @tinynotebook, as always!
