Watching that NASCAR crash...ouch. It hurt just watching the replays. Imagine what it's like in the car at those speeds, especially taking such enormous hits into the wall. (And remember, that used to be a concrete barrier...)

Since 2014 (when the categories were revised), this is the first time that a Day 2 Enhanced risk has been issued west of the Rocky Mountains. A Day 1 is quite rare there for comparison. Hence, the threat for tomorrow is quite high for Southwest standards. #AZwx

Excellent mention of @weather_katie in a discussion at #NWAS26. Harassment of meteorologists is a major problem and has got worse in recent years. It’s a major issue that has sent excellent meteorologists out of the broadcast field.

My opinion of Omaha: it's the "in between" city. Not a top-end global hub that overwhelms me, but also big enough to have a full range of services and opportunities. And from what I have seen, it is much more affordable than top-tier cities.
