Out of @diggerthemovie round 5. Busy showing today. People all around me and no one left before the 2nd Level 4. Still not boring, still found new details.
Was expecting to have the @diggerthemovie and us (only us) experience this morning but nope... just under 20 people in a 11am matinee on a random working weekday ❤️
Pointing at this with my Digger shovel throwing fingers at all the folks calling the movie too on the nose and over the top. Poor Iñarritu kept RUNNING to stay ahead of reality but it keeps closing in. In other words: what in the name of Judy could go wrong here 🧊

I had been holding off on posting my thoughts until the interview was released. Director Iñárritu’s “DIGGER” is a film that all of us living in today’s world should see. It is a work that remains with the audience, provoking reflection and sounding alarms. As you absorb this film and carry it with you, a “tool (a digger)” for delving deeper into the future will surely begin to take shape within you. This is a film that will stay by your side for years to come.

Digger sfugge a qualunque etichetta.

The theater was packed. When it was finished the audience just sat there as the credits rolled. Stillness. You know how rare that is for people to not jump up and start yammering or scrolling or move on to the next thing? There was stillness and awe, gratitude and sorrow and astonishment both with the film and this world we have allowed.
This movie being slammed by reviewers is beyond comprehension. Anyone who is dragging this piece through the mud should get a brain scan or see it again as they must not have been paying attention. This is one of the most daring, original, provocative pieces of art I’ve seen and bravo to every person that laid a hand on it. I’d have given my right arm to be an extra in this movie (I’m right handed).
This craft, like many other things nowadays, feels in peril. The systems at play encourage mass appeal above all else. Digger is a battle cry for art, for waking up, for demanding an actual attention span of your audience and for the miracle of having a point of view. To horrify, delight, wildly surprise repeatedly and inspire us to fight for our world before it’s too late is an incredible accomplishment. Don’t listen to rotten tomatoes. Find an actual person who saw this movie. Listen to them. Tomato tomaaato! Fuck that stupid nonsense percentage bullshit. It’s so dumb. Go see this movie.
Thank you @diggerthemovie !
