When you watch #Digger, listen carefully to the frogs in the end credits. Think of Aristophanesβ The Frogs, a satire about political decay, a society in crisis and whether art can save us. Listen to the frogs! @diggerthemovie
The theater was packed. When it was finished the audience just sat there as the credits rolled. Stillness. You know how rare that is for people to not jump up and start yammering or scrolling or move on to the next thing? There was stillness and awe, gratitude and sorrow and astonishment both with the film and this world we have allowed.
This movie being slammed by reviewers is beyond comprehension. Anyone who is dragging this piece through the mud should get a brain scan or see it again as they must not have been paying attention. This is one of the most daring, original, provocative pieces of art Iβve seen and bravo to every person that laid a hand on it. Iβd have given my right arm to be an extra in this movie (Iβm right handed).
This craft, like many other things nowadays, feels in peril. The systems at play encourage mass appeal above all else. Digger is a battle cry for art, for waking up, for demanding an actual attention span of your audience and for the miracle of having a point of view. To horrify, delight, wildly surprise repeatedly and inspire us to fight for our world before itβs too late is an incredible accomplishment. Donβt listen to rotten tomatoes. Find an actual person who saw this movie. Listen to them. Tomato tomaaato! Fuck that stupid nonsense percentage bullshit. Itβs so dumb. Go see this movie.

Third time seeing @diggerthemovie and each time learning and realising something new! It's really the film that keeps on giving. An absolute masterpiece in cinema.
Such a gorgeous night attending The World of Hans Zimmer. Absolutely beautiful, never fails to entertain and give you chills. And yes, I cried at The Lion King as is tradition.
My tweets normally get around 5-8 likes. So far this week I've had ones hit 12k, 10k and 3.5k all of which have led to abuse because I happen to promote a film I like.
So I'm now on lockdown.
