Say her name! Trinity Randolph! This 3-year old baby who was murdered while playing with her Frozen dollhouse has finally found justice. Her murderer was originally given life but the Supreme Court had an issue and now he has 35 years. courier-journal.com/story/ne…

This is HUGE news for the state. In the future, states with power will grow and be prosperous. States without power will wither and die. It’s that simple. Nuclear power is the safest, cleanest, most abundant, most sustainable energy we can generate. Let’s do this!
Enormous nuclear power project proposed in Kentucky today. Plans for six AP1000 reactors would form "the largest nuclear power campus in the United States," @TheNuclearCo says. Up to 6.6 gigawatts if built. courier-journal.com/story/ne…

This is indeed really big news. However… May I ask for a daily international flight to Aruba in the winter months? Asking for a friend.
Big news, Louisville is now flying international! Some people thought it would never happen, but we're getting it done. Starting this spring with Air Canada, Louisville will have daily nonstop international flights to Toronto. This is another reflection of how Louisville is a city on the rise. Our economy is booming, we're creating opportunities and jobs for our neighbors, and we're welcoming more visitors from around the world! That's what Louisville is all about.

Happy Columbus Day!!! America was named after and Italian (Amerigo Vespucci), not to mention the work of Cristoforo Columbo (aka Christopher Columbus). This holiday was created to acknowledge the contributions of Italian-Americans after a mass lynching in New Orleans.
In an era of anti-Catholicism and anti-immigrant nativism, Blessed Michael McGivney chose the Catholic explorer Christopher Columbus as the Order’s namesake in 1882. In an essay in the September 2020 issue of Columbia, historian William J. Connell explains, “For [the Knights] and many others, Columbus was celebrated as a figure of civic unity and a symbol that immigrants, particularly Catholics, possessed a rightful share in American identity.” Read more: bit.ly/4ifGgFZ Featured: The Christopher Columbus Memorial by sculptor Lorado Taft stands outside Union Station in Washington, D.C. Horrible news. This young man gave his life so that ours could be safer. Please join me in praying for Trooper Phillips and his family.
Today, the Commonwealth mourns the loss of Kentucky State Trooper Hayden Phillips. Beth and I are praying for him and his loved ones. Kentuckians will forever be grateful for his sacrifice.

I interrupt the cesspool of hate we call X to inject a big pile of CUTENESS in your feed. Such a great achievement for our Zoo!!!
The "cats are out of the bag!" The Louisville Zoo and @LouisvilleMayor are excited to announce that Amur tiger Viktoria and her three cubs are now beginning to explore their outdoor habitat. Lucky guests may catch a glimpse of the cats during their visit, but at this time there is no set schedule for public viewing. As the cubs and mom continue to acclimate and become comfortable in their new environment, we'll share more updates and information about times you can see them. Thank you for your patience as they take these important steps at their own pace!🐅

Bill Maher is spot on. Best parenting advice ever. As kids get older you explain more but kids are not adults. Their brains can’t comprehend like adults. Give them orders, predictability, love, knowledge. Kids should generally listen and learn. You are the adult!
Bill Maher: “I was reading about the Lindsay Clancy case, I kept reading about parents, so many, who go on record. I mean, they make TikToks and saying they hate being a parent. And I'm like, you did this to yourself. I'm not surprised you hate being a parent because you created this system where you could never be alone. My parents had time alone. ‘Get the f*ck out of here.’ And we did.” “And everything is a negotiation with a child. Of course you're exhausted. You can't have that situation with a child… Imagine if the military, you had to ask the soldiers, ‘What do you think, guys? You want to go into battle?’ It's the same with kids. You can't ask them everything. Just do it. Get out of the car. Get in the car. We're leaving…”

One of the best stories which shows both the greatness of the moment and the real humanity that Jeter brought to the situation.
Don’t bounce it, they’ll boo ya. -Derek Jeter’s advice to President George Bush prior to him throwing out the first pitch in the 2001 World Series

Hero’s don’t live to talk about it. The passengers on Flight 93 are hero’s. These pilots are also heroes. They were ready to sacrifice themselves for the people on the ground. It is very hard to understand why bad things happen to good people but tragedy exposes greatness.
“I’ll take the cockpit.” “I’ll take the tail.” On September 11 2001, two F-16 pilots took off from Andrews Air Force Base knowing their mission could end with them deliberately crashing their own fighters into a hijacked passenger jet. Lt. Col. Marc Sasseville and 1st Lt. Heather “Lucky” Penney were scrambled as the attacks unfolded and United Airlines Flight 93 was believed to be heading toward Washington. There was one enormous problem: their F-16s had no live missiles aboard. There simply wasn’t time to arm them before launching. So the two pilots devised an extraordinary last-resort plan. Sasseville would ram Flight 93’s cockpit. Penney would strike the tail, destroying the aircraft’s ability to remain airborne. “I’m going to go for the cockpit,” Sasseville told her. “I’ll take the tail,” Penney replied. Both understood what that could mean. Penney later described it as potentially a one-way mission. They raced toward Washington and searched for the missing airliner, unaware that the passengers and crew aboard Flight 93 had already fought back against the hijackers. The Boeing 757 had crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, before the fighters were airborne. Penney would later insist that the real heroes that morning were the people aboard Flight 93. They had done what the two fighter pilots were preparing to sacrifice their own lives to do: stop the aircraft from reaching Washington. #September11 #Flight93 #USAirForce

Absolute hero’s. “Let’s Roll” became something we would say in the military anytime we were heading out during the war on terror. The hero’s saved the Capitol that day.

It’s really impossible to describe how important this moment was to the country at the time. And to pitch it from the mound and put it in the strike zone just hit perfectly. Imagery means something and can move people.
Still hits the same

This is what a war zone looks like. Never forget.
This may be one of the most shocking firsthand videos from September 11, capturing the South Tower collapsing as terrified people run for cover. 25 years later, the terror of that moment remains unimaginable. 😟

This story has damaged @courierjournal reputation and rightly so. They should immediately apologize for the absurd reporting and lack of any journalistic standard when they published the initial report. Our Corrections team are professionals and I appreciate their service.
I was only a journalism major for two semesters before I wised up, but I must have missed the class on “thirdhand” sources.

Today we celebrate the birth of a little girl who would be called to become the Mother of her Creator, the Mother of God. Yet, she is born simply as a little girl, like the daughters and granddaughters we hold in our arms. We bestow upon her the most exalted and noble titles, such as Our Lady and Queen, but God’s way was and remains simpler and quieter, yet no less powerful and transformative. It is the way of Jesus Himself. #NativityOfMary
