One in three women of reproductive age live in countries that will be affected by the global gag rule.
Trump’s global gag rule on abortion care will damage women’s health, rights, and futures, writes @CSekimpi @MSIchoices

Our allegiance to providing high-quality health services to women is firm, as demonstrated by our Senior Country Director @CSekimpi, who conducts quality assurance visits within our clinics in Jinja and Tororo. In the company of Dr. Milton Awudo, the Director of Technical Services, our team at the Tororo Clinic was reminded to always follow the highest clinical guidelines and meet their targets. This commitment was sealed with a pinky swear 🤝

Thank you Dr Sekimpi ( Gaza dairy farm) of Busika & Mr Lugolobi ( Sight diary Farm) of Namulonge for hosting me and my wife ( @KabibiFlorence ) today at your respective farms.
You are doing commendable work in the diary sector .
My vision in @MAAIF_Uganda is to continue identifying & profiling progressive farmers in different enterprises and then supporting them mainly with enabling Technology/machinery to build their onfarm value chain development capabilities. Such nucleus farmers help to be knowledge transfer centres for the small holder or beginner farmers. They also can be aggregation & therefore off-take centers.

Yesterday we had fruitful consultative meetings in Isingiro District with both district and refugee settlement leadership during a monitoring visit for UKAID-funded projects.
The Marie Stopes Uganda team was joined by a team from the British High Commission.
@OptionsinHealth and @fhi360 Uganda.
Some of the biggest challenges in the district are unintended pregnancy, maternal and prenatal deaths, and low uptake of family planning.
We want to strongly engage the community in embracing the use of family planning in order to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies and improve livelihoods.

As we commemorate World Contraception Day, we can't help but take pride in the significant achievements we've made thus far.
In 2022, 1.5 million people in Uganda accessed contraception through Marie Stopes Uganda.
971,000 unplanned pregnancies were prevented, and 2800 maternal deaths were averted.
Through public health system strengthening, we have built over 700 public facilities and provided on-the-job mentorship to over 1,500 health workers to provide quality contraception services.
Our goal is to ensure that contraception services are easily accessed by every woman, regardless of where they are.

The importance of actively involving men in family planning programs is gaining increasing recognition. Traditionally, the burden of family planning has predominantly fallen on women's shoulders. We are now meeting men where they are, enabling them to actively participate.
