The 2026 CTGI Global Rotation and Exchange Program has successfully concluded! CTGIers from regional companies gathered at headquarters for hands-on work experience, project visits, and cultural exchange, gaining a deeper understanding of the company's operations and management. During the program, they visited the Funan Wind-Solar-Storage Base in Anhui and the Three Gorges Dam to learn more about hydropower and renewable energy. They also made zongzi and traditional sachets together, experiencing the charm of Chinese culture while building lasting friendships through every shared moment. @CTGAAL @CTG_Europe

#CampusConnection Get an up-close look at clean energy engineering in action at the Karot Hydropower Project. Recently, faculty members and students from the Electrical Engineering and Project Management programs at Bahria University visited the Karot Hydropower Project to gain deeper insights into hydropower development and plant operations. Through presentations and on-site exchanges, participants explored key topics including plant operations, project management, and environmental considerations. The group also toured major facilities such as the spillway, main dam site, and control room, gaining firsthand exposure to the workings of a large-scale hydropower project. @CTGAAL

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan. Through changing times, China-Pakistan friendship has remained as strong as iron, with the two countries often termed as "Iron Brothers", while green cooperation is becoming a new highlight of bilateral ties. Located on the Jhelum River in Pakistan, the 720 MW Karot Hydropower Project, developed by CTG and operated by CSAIL, is known as Pakistan's version of "Three Gorges Project". It is the first major CPEC hydropower project in commercial operation and the first large-scale hydropower investment project under the Belt and Road Initiative. With an average annual output of about 3.206 billion kWh, it can meet the electricity demand of more than five million local people. CSAIL also operates three wind farms in Jhimpir, Sindh, with a combined installed capacity of 148.5 MW. Together, they deliver about 443 GWh of clean electricity every year, enough to meet the power needs of more than 600,000 people. But this partnership is not only about electricity. Beyond power generation, CSAIL has supported biodiversity protection along the Jhelum River, community infrastructure, roads, bridges, water systems, hospitals, schools, scholarships and flood relief. From hydropower to wind power, from energy supply to community support, these projects show how clean energy cooperation can bring long-term value to people, nature and development.

At the 𝑲𝒂𝒓𝒐𝒕 𝑯𝒚𝒅𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕 in Pakistan, a free medical camp brought essential healthcare services directly to the local community. More than 300 residents, including women and children, received on-site consultations, basic health screenings, and immediate treatment. Located on the Jhelum River in Punjab Province, the Karot Hydropower Project has a total installed capacity of 720 MW and generates around 3.2 billion kWh of electricity each year. Since all units were fully commissioned in June 2022, the project has made a meaningful contribution to local economic and social development. @CTGAAL

How big is the world's first 20MW offshore wind turbine? On Feb 5, the world's first 20MW offshore wind turbine successfully completed commissioning and was connected to the grid in the waters off southern Fujian. Standing 174 meters tall with 147-meter blades, one full sweep of its rotor covers nearly 10 football fields. With just a single rotation, it can generate 50 kWh of electricity — enough to power one person for about 17 days. Follow our reporter's lens as he steps into the installation site.

From "extinct in the wild" (2019) to renewed hope, CTG led recovery by launching propagation R&D (2011), achieving full artificial propagation and scale-up (2019), advancing induced gynogenesis to curb inbreeding (2022), and releasing 670,000+ juveniles (2023). In 2025, CTG enabled the first natural spawning and hatching of released sturgeon in the Chishui River via habitat restoration—a key step from ex situ safeguarding to self-recruitment and a replicable model for basin sustainability.
