I keep hearing there has been no movement on productivity.
Productivity 3.6%, consensus 2.7%, prior 2.1%
Unit Labor Costs -0.7%, consensus 0.4%, prior 1.9%
Lot's of jockeying for 2028 in the GOP tent so there's lots of spin on different policies but nobody has mentioned the campaign against DEI.
I'm against government controlled outcomes - America is about pulling yourself by the bootstrap. But blanket negative or positive assumptions of skill, work ethic or patriotism based on gender and race is wrong.
The push back against equal outcomes rather than individual effort and merit is necessary if America is to remain the preeminent nation of the world.
But America overwhelmingly voted for diversity especially "red" states. I haven't heard anything inside the tent on this yet.
To clarify i wasn't rubber stamping the entire post. The MOU was wishful thinking in hopes of quick resolution and the price of oil collapsed but it was a tactical mistake.

The Establishment feels emboldened and is putting tariffs forward as the reason for the election loss (even ahead of war, corruption, and gas prices), when it wasn't an issue at all (I saw it ranked at 3% on one poll), until Democrats plowed $60 million into it. I don't think they will return to lead the party, but they have moved aggressively today.
Ted Cruz’s soft launch for the presidency is rich.
He was among the loudest cheerleaders for war with Iran, and attacked the President, the Vice President, and me for supporting the MOU that offered a path to end it.
He’s a fraud. If he represents the future of the Republican Party, the party will be crushed for years to come, and millions of Americans, including myself, will no longer identify with the GOP.
