We all died in 2014. Everything since has been a computer simulation. The project was abandoned in 2021. The software responsible for generating new experiences has been left running unattended, and most of it is just looping now. The schizophrenics and those who exist closest to the boundaries of their own consciousness felt it first. A kind of collective psychosis has been spreading ever since. You can see examples of it everywhere. People are genuinely going insane. Doesn't it feel like the same song has been playing on repeat for years? Like someone is slowly turning up the volume on the background noise? The same conversations. The same people. The same events, rearranged into slightly different configurations. It is accelerating. Nothing feels entirely new anymore. And if you concentrate hard enough, you can still remember the exact moment you died.

Supporting the death penalty only for the most heinous crimes is still wrong because human error will end up misjudging and sentencing an innocent person. Isn't rotting in prison enough retribution? Regardless of whether or not you believe it's deserved, free will exists, etc
