Honestly... agreed. It'll get me some flack but I see so many Mid-Atlantic/East Coast warnings that make little to no sense to me. The high false-alarm rate and seemingly lowered thresholds are making questionable warnings further lose meaning.

so uhhhhhh..... why do we have 1.5 million people under tornado warnings for storms that are clearly not rotating...? big wind threat for sure, but tornado warnings for stuff like this make no sense to me

After a spectacular 3 years, my time at Boston 25 has come to an end. Many of you already know, but my last day on air was earlier this month. I’ll keep this brief, but I have to say what an honor it has been to do what I love right here at home. I was able to work with an incredible group of people, many of whom I looked up to growing up! These years have been a dream come true. There will be more to come from me soon. In the meantime, I’ll still be right here talking weather with you!

Check this out: It’s the damage scar from Wednesday night’s significant tornado in Indiana (Morgan & Monroe counties). Spotted this on my flight today from 31,000 feet! Spent about 2 hours just looking out the window 😄

What disappoints me with weather model consolidation is that a more unified system means more similar forecasts. Sounds good at the surface, but spreads are healthy too. I don’t look forward to forecasts becoming more alike and less unique. Higher accuracy is not implied.
