Clinton Schifcofske 😂 has Lomax currently out of the league & just negotiated Walker off a $4m deal with the glamour club of the comp, who just happen to be Premiers.

They haven't been able to beat us since the early 70's in any of the competitions. The Ashes are boring because they are inept. I'd rather play nations that are competitive.
Oh No
Trent Robinson talking up Wakeham... Roosters will offer a train and trial deal too good to refuse
In Rugby League & the NRL I'd end the 7 tackle set & bring back scrums off a kick that finds touch.
I like the attacking options off a scrum & I enjoyed a playmaker attempting to control tempo. I think those 2 rule changes would also minimise the number of score blow outs.

If you look at the last WC, if the 8 teams who made the QFs played for the World Cup and the 8 that didn’t played for a the emerging nations WC, you would have had less blowouts and they would have been completed in 5 weekends not 6.

Hold them in opposite hemispheres so the games don’t clash for tv. Sell both series together with the women’s and wheelchair comps.

💯- and in my opinion, nothing to be gained by 70+ point drubbings. If anything, it drives away interest and reduces desire to fund development IMO.
If they want to make it “fair”, let the emerging nation / second tier winner playoff against the established / first tier winner

Two factors that are exacerbating the scorelines:
1) Playing under NRL rules versus International rules.
2) +/- being so important in Pools B&C.
Both those factors have added 20 to the scorelines. Not just France it's hurting, PNG also conceded over 60pts today.
Chip chase re-gather, out the right and try...
You can see the $$ investment in womens rugby league in Australia. Light years.
November 1, 2026 is about to roll & this enables NRL clubs to sign players for the 2028 season. Crazy NRL still is happy with this. So much can change in 16 months. Dolphins signed George Williams 15 months ago & now it looks weird. Broncs signed Pezet & now it looks weird.

Ben Johnson on the hard fought battle between #Patriots QB Drake Maye and Bears QB Caleb Williams:
“It felt like it was a little bit back and forth there for a while. Just watching Drake Maye play, I mean, he’s an outstanding player. It’s very hard to bottle him up. You only rush four, and he finds a way. If he doesn’t see anything down the field, he’ll find an open gap and skirt on through. I think what’s really impressive is how he can find these little outlets and these dumps where they’re still running vertical for catch-and-run opportunities. I think they had a number of those tonight. It’s really effective. You can tell he’s kinda caught his rhythm now at this part of the season and will probably continue to do that.”

NFL’s "Dynamic Kickoff" rules have essentially turned the traditional onside kick that proved legendary for New Orleans into a ceremonial formality with almost zero competitive drama & no ability to surprise.
Sometimes fortune really does favour the bravest coaches. Interesting call from Ben Johnson. Looks like a genius now. Bears by 9 makes it tuff.

Another Rugby League club went under in the UK overnight.
It’s all ok though. Games booming over there. Record everything. Just ask the Poms….

While Australian Govts build Temu stadiums responsible governance in other parts of the world set their sights on this standard.
Switzerland is planning a $500 million football stadium with a roller coaster wrapped around its exterior.
Named Cervin Coliseum, the proposed stadium in Sion will feature 21,000 seats, a retractable roof, an 80-room hotel, and facilities for concerts and other major events.
Its most unusual feature is a roller coaster planned to wind around part of the building, designed to attract visitors even when no football matches are taking place.
Designed by Christian Constantin SA, the project has been submitted to local authorities for preliminary review, with completion targeted for 2030.
The stadium is still in the planning stage, and construction has not yet been approved.
