So many conservative governments across Canada and people cannot understand why healthcare and education is fucked.

A lot of people were frustrated with David Eby, so I'm not entirely surprised by the election results.
But if the BC Conservatives start selling off ICBC, privatizing healthcare, pandering to culture-war bs, and passing legislation that attacks human rights...
Then I expect serious push back from Britisih Columbians.

The BC Conservatives promise $11.1 billion in tax cuts despite projecting massive deficits. Businesses would receive hundreds of millions in tax exemptions, while ordinary British Columbians could face the consequences if reduced revenue leads to cuts in essential services. #bcpoli #cdnpoli
Imagine your child waiting months for medical treatment because hospitals lack resources. Your child's school losing classroom support. Your rent climbing because affordable housing projects have been delayed. These are the risks families could face if the province struggles to fund public services.
Even more concerning, the Conservatives plan to take $2 billion from BC's $5 billion emergency contingency fund and count it as savings. That money is set aside for unexpected costs, including wildfires, healthcare emergencies and rising demand for essential services.
Imagine a wildfire forcing your family to evacuate. Firefighters need equipment, displaced residents need shelter, and communities need money to rebuild. Reducing emergency reserves doesn't make those costs disappear. It leaves the province with less money set aside to respond.
Or imagine your elderly parent waiting in an overcrowded emergency room while hospitals urgently need additional funding. A smaller contingency fund leaves the government with fewer options to address unexpected pressures without borrowing or cutting elsewhere.
The Conservatives also rely on economic growth far above independent forecasts. If those predictions fail, BC could collect less revenue than expected, forcing difficult choices between additional debt and reduced services.
Economist Jim Stanford estimates their financial assumptions could leave BC with annual deficits exceeding $15 billion.
The tax cuts would take billions out of provincial revenue while leaving less money in emergency reserves. If hospitals need more funding, housing projects fall behind or wildfires strike, British Columbians could face the consequences.

Don’t punish Eby with four years of racists at the helm in BC
British Columbians are voting Saturday to elect the province’s next government, with voters deciding who will represent them in the 93-seat legislature.

The BC Conservatives tried to bring down the government 13 times in two years. The chaos that the Conservatives have caused in their party and in the legislature has been immense.
On October 24th, vote NDP!

If you are in West Vancouver Sea to Sky - only vote Green
Skeena, Barquitlam Port Moody, Coquitlam Burke Mountain, Maple Ridge East, Coquitlam Center and Port Coquitlam vote NDP #bcpoli
The whole of BC doesn't need to vote strategically. If you're in a safe Green riding, vote your conscience. If you're not, vote NDP and hold the subsequent minority government to account for every environment-related decision. Your MLA will owe you. #bcpoli

BC, you’re going to regret this. The party is a literal mess, and you don’t even know who’ll lead it. Sometimes it’s better to stick with the devil you know. A little critical thinking wouldn’t hurt. 🤦♀️

Hey GREENS:
IF, and I DO mean “IF”, you care about the environment.
IF YOU ACTUALLY GIVE A SHIT, VOTE NDP.
This isn’t a game. This is simple high school math. You vote GREEN, you WILL elect Cons: the most catastrophic environmental disaster to hit BC.
VOTE NDP.

Vote wisely BC !!- Vote strategically in ridings with the Greens - split your vote to make sure the Conservatives do not form Government. British Columbians and the future of your children depend on it. @LDoerkson is a sheep in wool's clothing.
#VoteBCNDP

Please everyone, for the need for love of a humane government, please don’t let the BC Cons win. Doerkson is not benign, he is just a front until someone far more dangerous will be leader. BCLibs redux only far more right wing. Have a conscience and vote NDP.
Replying to @realtintie4
I'm genuinely scared, Cynthia. I've been on disability long enough to know what it felt like when the BCLibCons left rates frozen for so long. The NDP has given us increases but we were under a $1000 a month in 2017 before they took office. I don't think most people knew that.

DO NOT VOTE CONSERVATIVE BC! FULL OF RACIST BIGOTS (Aaron Gunn) BACKED BY (Christy Clarke) WE ALL KNOW HOW THAT WENT! BE SMART GREEN VOTERS AT LEAST NDP will work with CARNEY and NOT GO AGAINST ALL YOUR POLICIES LIKE THE CONS WILL ! VOTE NDP!

Tomorrow is the BC election. People want change. What’s that mean? The Conservatives are not gonna fix healthcare cause they’re into private healthcare. They’re not gonna fix grocery prices. The president of Save-on-Foods ran to be their leader. Think b4 you vote. #bcpoli

Hey BC: VOTE
100% guaranteed the Cons voters will be out in force: they smell victory.
So we must all get out & vote to save BC from MAGA.
For the GREENS: time to vote NDP.
Otherwise you will guarantee your worst nightmare. OUR worst nightmare.

The BC Conservative platform cuts $2 billion a year from the budget line that helps pay for hospitals, surgeries, clinics and long-term care
They’re going to privatise our healthcare.

Seriously BC voters, don't let irritation with the NDP make you cut off your nose to spite your face. The BC Conservatives are feral and sitting out this election out of pique is a decision you will come to regret.
