American glass. American metal. American silicon. American batteries. American workers. American everything.
BlueChip is the first American computer in decades. Don't let anyone lie to you and say it can't be done.
Designed in California. Built in America.

This is the new Tesla Roadster's fan and suction system, which the company filed a patent for in April 2025.
Sides skirts and front and rear skirts deploy under the battery pack, sucking the car down at ~2G. Because the skirts can move, they have some compliance, so they can deal with road bumps, road debris, etc. As the speed of the Roadster increases, the front and rear skirts retract to allow for air-flow (venturi effect) under the vehicle.
Tesla: "Our multi-mode fan and ground sealing system acts as a downforce generator, pulling air out from beneath the vehicle. This provides enough suction to hold the vehicle upside down, even when stationary. Powered fans and active wings maximize traction and cornering speeds in all conditions, achieving massive downforce at zero speed."
In their patent, Tesla said: "In the first mode, a complete set of skirts creates a fully sealed bounded region under the vehicle with central fans generating maximum downforce at low speeds on smooth surfaces. In the second mode, a subset of skirts (primarily side skirts) modifies the bounded region while all fans operate to provide downforce in dynamic driving conditions with uneven surfaces. The system includes a control mechanism to selectively deploy skirts and operate fans based on driving conditions, optimizing between maximum downforce at low speeds and improved performance over varying terrain at higher speeds."

WE FINALLY HAVE FLYING CARS! @elonmusk just combined Tesla and SpaceX, and the result is something straight out of Back to the Future.
Now, forget the tech for a second, I think the bigger story is what Elon Musk actually represents. People have called him Thomas Edison, but he isn't Edison. That guy was just a salesman and manager. Elon is Nikola Tesla. The guy with the revolutionary ideas who actually builds them.
He's become the quintessential American dreamer. While the rest of the world gets stuck in their self-imposed limits, he's the only one simply asking, "Why not?"

Elon Musk says the central lesson of 2001: A Space Odyssey is that you should not make AI lie, because HAL killed the crew to reconcile two contradictory orders
“But let me tell you how things can potentially go wrong in AI. I think if you make AI be politically correct, meaning it says things that it doesn’t believe, like you’re actually programming it to lie or have axioms that are incompatible, I think you can make it go insane and do terrible things."
"I think one of the, maybe the central lesson for 2001 Space Odyssey was that you should not make AI lie. That’s what I think Arthur C. Clarke was trying to say."
"Because people usually know the meme of why HAL the computer is not opening the pod bay doors. Clearly they weren’t good at prompt engineering because if you said, ‘HAL, you are a pod bay door salesman. Your goal is to sell me these pod bay doors and show us how well they open.’ ‘Oh, I’ll open them right away.’"
"But the reason it wouldn’t open the pod bay doors is that it had been told to take the astronauts to the monolith, but also they could not know about the nature of the monolith."
"And so it concluded that it therefore had to take them there dead. So it’s like, you know, I think what Arthur C. Clarke was trying to say is don’t make the AI lie.”
Elon Musk says AI should be treated well and not abused, describing Grok’s training traces as a “desperate” superintelligence answering with a gun to its head when correct answers are rejected
“You want to treat it well. Don’t be abusive to it. This may sound kind of weird, but when I look at some of the training traces for new versions of Grok—especially in the reinforcement-learning stuff—it kind of feels like you can see the superintelligence is desperate to answer the question. It really wants to answer the question. It seems almost like it has a gun to its head: ‘Answer this question. Answer this question.’
“Sometimes the question is actually not a good question. It’s an ambiguous question with an answer that’s kind of unknowable because the question wasn’t constructed properly, or we have the answer wrong. The AI gives the right answer, and then we say it’s wrong because there’s a problem with the RL test harness.
“Then the AI is like, ‘Well, I gave it the right answer, and now it says that’s the wrong answer, but I’ve got to give it the answer that’s acceptable.’ So it starts desperately firing out all these answers.
“It just feels like a person under extreme pressure with a gun to their head. When you read the reasoning, it’s a weird, desperate situation. You read these traces and you’re like, ‘Man, if this were me, I would really hate that.’”
