Years ago, the guy I had been dating since high school told me to drop out of college & “get married like a real woman”. At that moment, “Someone Saved my Life Tonight” happened to be playing on the radio. The line “you nearly had me roped and tied” woke me up and I exclaimed

“No! No! I can’t!” He told me I would come crawling back. Four months later, I starting dating a fellow student. Three years later, we graduated together. Two years after that, we got married. In the 31 years since, we had a daughter, both got Master’s degrees, and prospered. 2/
I’ve seen a lot of people posting how their vote for Harris is in honor of their mom or daughter. My vote is in honor of my grandfather, Sam Serad. He died in WWII decades before I was born. He fought fascism then and I am proud to fight it now. Harris-Walz 2024!

Last night I had the best dream ever. Georgia Tennant gave me a puppy, hugged me, and declared herself my new best friend.
Just saw Blazing Saddles on the big screen. It is my favorite and my mom’s favorite and I could hear her laugh along with me. One of her favorite lines was “what a nice guy!” and it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you @MelBrooks for the memories and laughter.
So I was asked to apply for a long term sub position teaching physics again. Haven’t decided if I should or not…. On one hand, I really love teaching, especially teaching physics. On the other hand, I love the freedom of retirement.
I don’t normally post political opinions on here since my former students follow me. I just want to take this moment & thank @JoeBiden 4 all you have done these many decades 4 the American people. My family has jokingly called you “Uncle Joe” 4 years and you are truly one of us.
