I’ll never forget this day.
The day Michelle O’Neill made her inaugural speech as First Minister.
I remember thinking one day my little girl might ask me - where was I that day mummy? So I jumped in my car knowing I could always answer - you were there my girl.
That you can be whatever you want to be.
That Nationalists NEED apply.
That you are not a second class citizen.
Because of Michelle O’Neill and the people that put her there. The only people who can decide who the First Minister of the day is.
Michelle O’Neill
Our First Minister 💚

The people of Ireland will continue to support the residents of Garvaghy Road. There will be no unwanted Orange Parade through an area which has suffered so much... 🇮🇪
🟢 NO GOING BACK
@CatSeeley #GARVAGHYROAD
Out on the ground in Portadown this evening, continuing to stand with and support Garvaghy Road residents 🥰
We remain committed to protecting the peace we have worked so hard to build and ensuring that everyone can live free from sectarianism, intimidation and fear. 💚

Chris Buckler on GMU claiming "both were shouting at each other" at the Stormont committee is a total misrepresentation.
Video footage clearly shows Michelle O'Neill remaining calm, composed, and steady under a barrage of shouting from Philip Brett.
The BBC must do better.

The DUP’s entire election strategy is about removing Michelle O’Neill as First Minister.
It’s about stopping the momentum for change in the North.
The days of ‘no nationalist need apply’ are over.
There is no going back.

Tonight, at an event attended by hundreds of Republicans, Sinn Féin selected Paul Maskey, Pat Sheehan, Órlaithí Flynn, and Danny Baker as Sinn Féin’s four West Belfast candidates in the next Assembly election.
This election is the most important in generations.
It is an opportunity to support the strong leadership of Sinn Féin and show that change in the North is unstoppable.
To send a message to those who want to drag us back to the past, that there will be No Going Back.
Every vote will count in West Belfast.
Together, let’s make it 4 Sinn Féin MLAs!

🚨BREAKING GARVAGHY: Mary Lou McDonald and Michelle O'Neill arrive for PSNI interviews
👥@sinnfeinireland President Mary Lou McDonald and First Minister @moneillsf have been speaking outside Musgrave Street police station in Belfast ahead of their interviews.
They are to be interviewed by officers investigating their participation in an allegedly unlawful protest on the Garvaghy Road in Portadown last month, linked to efforts to prevent an Orange Order parade.
It's understood they will be interviewed separately.
More on-air and online from Chief Reporter @jamesgould23.

I will be interviewed by the PSNI today in relation to my participation in a peaceful protest at Garvaghy Road.
I will always stand up for what is right, and Sinn Féin fully supports the people of Garvaghy Road.
There are real dangers in flippant language such as this. Sinister elements could use this as a means to legitimise the targeting of individuals.
His comments should be withdrawn and a forthright, public apology read into the record.

The Assembly has today backed calls to end the geo-blocking of RTÉ and TG4.
North and south, Sinn Féin is pushing to bin this unfair practice once and for all.
People across Ireland should be able to watch our national broadcasters, no matter where they live.

Next May, for the first time ever, Sinn Féin can win two Assembly seats in South Belfast and Mid Down.
Pat Cullen and Deirdre Hargey are two outstanding candidates for Sinn Féin, and a formidable team.
With strong leadership and determination, Sinn Féin has grown hugely in South Belfast and Mid Down and now Sinn Féin can win two seats in this constituency.
Every vote will count next May.
Together, let’s make history.
Let’s make it two Sinn Féin MLAs in South Belfast and Mid Down!

David Davis talking about supposed “IRA lawyers” in the Commons…
Reminder that Pat Finucane was murdered less than month after Douglas Hogg MP, told the House of Commons: “there are in Northern Ireland a number of solicitors who are unduly sympathetic to the cause of the IRA.”

Our nurses and healthcare staff deserve fair pay, and they deserve it without delay.
Our Sinn Féin team met with the Royal College of Nursing in recent days to offer our full support to our nursing staff.
The British Government continues to treat our healthcare staff as less than those in Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff.
Scotland receives £3bn more in funding, and Wales £1bn more.
That is a disgrace.
This underfunding is denying our nurses and healthcare staff the fair pay they deserve.
I will keep fighting, day and night, for
fair pay for our all our healthcare workers.

The answer is simple.
The ordinary decent people of the Garvaghy Rd & the hundreds of decent people who joined them to protest a wholly unjust act of antagonism & triumphalism were not a mob nor dissident front, and the PSNI knew that to be the truth.
I can now confirm after speaking to officers; that despite a firearms risk assement from the PSNI.
Negotiators who were sent into the crowd and the air support unit were not briefed of any firearms risk.
They are asking me why they weren’t told if one existed. @BelTel

I have received a letter from the PSNI relating to the peaceful protest on the Garvaghy Road and I will attend an interview in the period ahead.
Sinn Féin stood in solidarity with the residents of the Garvaghy Road to protect 28 years of peace.
Standing up for what is right is always the right thing to do.
Sinn Féin will continue to stand with the Garvaghy Road residents who should be allowed to live their lives free from sectarian intimidation, and with the people of the lower Ormeau road, who are also facing the threat of an unwanted march through their community.
There is no going back.
Not now. Not ever.

Women need and deserve the right care and treatment here in Ireland.
I was delighted to host our Women’s Health Summit and to meet and listen to women and girls sharing their experiences of endometriosis.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh to everyone who joined us in person or tuned in online. We must keep working together to ensure women and girls get the care they deserve 💛

This is a scandal which has not received anything like the attention it warrants. Deeply disturbing.
The head of the Education Authority has provided a belated explanation about the proposed allocation of £30,000 to a football team, claiming that an email from the Department of Education was “never received” due to a typo.
