What could £15bn buy for Scotland, instead of renovations for a nuclear weapons base? Here's just a couple of ideas. COMMENT with your own thoughts for how to spend an extra £15bn in Scotland.

Five months ago, the United States killed 168 schoolchildren and teachers in Iran. The Tomahawk missiles used were made by Raytheon - parts of which are made in Scotland. We will never forget.

bbc.co.uk/news/live/cgqeg09p… Of course its not enough, spears and arrows were not enough neither guns or tanks or bombs or killer drones or nuclear bombs. Peace is not the product of terror or fear. Only when we learn to love one another will we have Peace,

Woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic, and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth. #ApostolicJourney #Cameroon vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/e…

Absurd and inhuman violence is spreading ferociously through the sacred places of the Christian East, profaned by the blasphemy of war and the brutality of business, with no regard for people’s lives, which are considered at most collateral damage of self-interest. But no gain can be worth the life of the weakest, children, or families. No cause can justify the shedding of innocent blood.

UK airbases were arguably INDISPENSIBLE in the military US build-up around Iran in 2026. Now that the UK is directly involved in military operations + hosting US bombing runs, it should be obvious that the initial "hesitation" by the PM was a smokescreen and political ploy.

#BrianQuail - So many people, so many connections with Brian Quail. A most beautiful requiem mass today for a true man of peace who worked so hard for a nonviolent world. His obituary is on our website. Rest in peace, Brian - we SHALL overcome. paxchristiscotland.org/brian…

“One is called to live nonviolently, even if the change one works for seems impossible. It may or may not be possible to turn the USA around through nonviolent revolution. But one thing favors such an attempt: the total inability of violence to change anything for the better. DB

Rest in Peace Brian Quail, one of the Scottish peace movement's greatest ever champions. He will be hugely missed, but Brian's legacy will continue to inspire our movement for peace and disarmament.

Ash Wednesday at Faslane, from here 4 submarines operate, one is kept on patrol 24/7. Each sub has 8 American Trident missiles, each missile with up to 5 British warheads, each of which is 8 times more powerful than the bomb that destroyed Hiroshima, killing over 140,000 people.

When someone steals another's clothes, we call them a thief. Should we not give the same name to one who could clothe the naked and does not? ...the coat unused in your closet belongs to the one who needs it; ...the money which you hoard up belongs to the poor. St Basil the Great
