Let us continue to pray together for peace. The day after tomorrow, on 27 October, let us join in spirit with the heads of churches and religious leaders who will gather in Assisi to mark the 40th anniversary of the meeting convened by Saint John Paul II. Never before has it been so clear that wars, as well as sowing death and destruction, impoverish and harm the world. May the Lord inspire choices of dialogue and peace! #PrayTogether

#DisarmamentWeek - Let’s think about the cost of armaments to each of us as we struggle for better health, care & education services. And the obscene profits made by arms manufacturers. Not to mention the terrible destruction of people & environment. un.org/en/observances/disarm…

I would like to thank all those who have prayed for me in recent days. I wish to express my particular gratitude to the doctors, nurses and all the staff of the Gemelli Hospital. This experience has made me feel particularly close to all those who are living with illness or infirmity. Now that I have overcome this delicate phase I will gradually resume my activities, always with God’s help and your prayers.

Professor Stefano Margaritora, who operated on Pope Leo XIV on October 13, speaks to Vatican News about the Holy Father's health. He said the Pope "truly put his heart" into his treatment, and could be "fully recovered" in about ten days. There are "no clinical reasons" why his planned trip to South America in November should not take place, Prof. Margaritora told Andrea Tornielli, Editorial Director of the Dicastery for Communication.
