Canadian PM Mark Carney: The lesson we’ve taken, Canadians as a whole, is that we’re overdependent on the United States, too closely connected to the United States. We need to build our strength here at home and diversify and deepen our partnerships with like-minded countries internationally

A federal appeals court rejected the administration's efforts to disrupt our elections, cause chaos, and disenfranchise voters, and the Supreme Court should do the same.
Elections are run by the states, not the federal government.
This year, the biggest threat to our elections comes not from foreign hostile powers, but a hostile U.S. presidency.

On foreign policy, the Trump era is winding down. Serious damage has been done. But tomorrow marks the beginning of the end. America's renewal will start slowly, but gradually gain momentum in the next two years and then over the next two decades.

It's crazy that the amount of money spent during election cycles could literally fix most of the fucking problems politicians campaign on.

Putin is not a humanitarian.
Putin is a terrorist.
Russia deliberately struck a school in the village of Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia region, where humanitarian aid was being handed out to local residents.
In the morning, the Russians dropped aerial bombs on the school. People took shelter, and the occupiers then struck again: nine more aerial bombs, aimed directly at the shelter.
As of now, the death toll has risen to 24. Sincere condolences to the families and loved ones. There are wounded, and they are receiving the necessary assistance. The threat of a repeat strike is hampering search and rescue efforts.
There is no doubt: the Russians knew full well that local residents received aid here every week.

Why on earth did the Trump Administration pay $495.6 MILLION for a vacant prison in Minnesota when the company selling it had offered to sell the SAME prison to the state for just $75 million the year before?
Are you telling me that American taxpayers may have overpaid by $420 MILLION? Because, to me, it sure looks like the Trump Administration paid more than SIX TIMES the previous asking price.
And by the way, the company that sold the prison, CoreCivic, donated $500,000 to Trump’s inauguration.
I’ll let you draw your own conclusions here, but anyone with eyes can see that this is an absurd waste of taxpayer dollars and that something shady is going on here.
"New records obtained by KARE 11 show the company that owned a vacant private prison in Appleton, Minnesota offered to sell it to the state in 2025 for $75 million.
One year later, the Trump administration agreed to use taxpayer funds to buy the same abandoned prison from CoreCivic, Inc., for $495.6 million.
The price difference, $420 million, is more than taxpayers are estimated to have lost in Minnesota’s much-publicized Feeding Our Future fraud scandal." kare11.com/article/news/inve…
