$JSEITE $JSECSB Italtile has always been the better company in my opinion. Real quality Be that as it may I think a lot of the ITE top dogs jumped ship when they saw a long period of no growth ahead! There was a big exodus from top management Jan Potgieter Lance Foxcraft 1/n
New 52-week low for tile, bathroom and house refurb business $JSEITL Italtile as it traded to 759 cents then bounces to 798 cents. I wonder if #ITL is back in the market buying back shares at these lowly levels ? On a PE of 7.0x versus 10.1x for sector comparative $JSECSB Cashbuild, #ITL appears a relative bargain valuation wise on face value However, the underlying sectoral landscape remains highly challenging with 2 recent interest rate hikes, rising energy/fuel costs hitting consumers and the increasing spectre of rising food costs into Q1 2027 Both #ITL and #CSB tend to have better Q4 periods to the end of the calendar year, however, this year money in consumers pockets may be much tighter with spending - perhaps - not as allocated towards DIY and home refurbishment Tough space to be in despite the lowly valuations with no catalyst for any earnings improvement or share price uplift seemingly ahead if one reads the South African GDP or economic tea leaves

Jan Potgieter was 52 when he retired and emigrated to Europe Lance Foxcraft was also early 50s and emigrated to AUS They knew! Still... I can see myself buying this company when economic conditions turn and the stock is still priced for failure. Its a good business!

#BRAZIL This Brazil political situation is nuts! The stock market crashing on the turnaround in candidates! Bolsonaro seemed like a lock and now Lula wins! Im in shock! Brazil was seen as the new growth vector! All those stock market gains are getting wiped out in a day!

More than 20% drop in one single day on a countries INDEX! That is nuts! Imagine every stock in South Africa dropping more than 20% in one day!

They dont need the money. These companies are probably NET bad for the country The sad part is many of the people promoting it will tell you they dont use it or didnt know it was bad. Someone dangled a big cheque in front of them and they asked 'how high must I jump?'
Does this guy really need more money ?! He's already making millions pounding All Blacks in submission, why also kill our country ? Of course the @Springboks are also sponsored by a betting company ?!

#CrystalChallenge There is always end of year window dressing to make the fund manager portfolio look better. Will there now be a 5 November Crystal challenge window dressing? (Said in gest)
Cristal Challenge 2026 Last leaderboard until prize giving on 5 November. It’s still tight between Raymond and Monde. Monde still in Sasol. And then also a battle between David Laurence Errol and Giscard. Can believe it’s near the end. 2027 around the corner.

Noticing a lot of comments like this. My guess is that forefathers of this mentality also thought the first automobile was stupid when they had a perfectly good horse. They thought the printing press was silly when we obviously have ink and a pen And a round wheel? How dumb!
Am I the only one not excited about this?

$JSEBLU Ms J van Eden company secretary sells R916k in BLU shares at R7.35 Not really inspiring stuff. Many argue this is BLU at bargain basement rock bottom price. Bit distressing to see insiders still selling

#F1 #Rwanda #RSA Good time to repost these words
I have set up meetings with relevant people already, my term will be a failure if I don’t bring one of the biggest sporting tourist events to South Africa which is F1. Our first meeting is end of August in Monaco.

#F1Rwanda Quite shocking to me that the tiny country of Rwanda with no resources, a tiny population and a fraction of our budget has got a Grand Prix awarded to them in 2030. They dont even have a track! (needs to be built) Surely we should get Kyalami event? Big L for Gayton

#KingsmeadCricket for as long as Ive watched cricket, bad light has always ruined Kingsmead tests in DBN Everyone with basic geography knows that DBN technically could be another time zone. For business reasons its works on std SA time why not start cricket at 8:30 or 9am?

Ever since I went through their IPO prospectus and found the names @bronwynnielsen @RobertHersov and @DividendPapi I lost quite a lost of respect for all 3 individuals. Even if you were simply approached & paid money to attach your name to something you were not involved in

$JSEBAC Dodgy companies doing dodgy things Good luck to those invested. This is not a real company in my opinion. You have much better odds of making money going to the casino if you want a 'gamble' techcentral.co.za/africa-bit…
$JSEBAC Curious if all the Africa Bitcoin Corporation Ltd holders are still comfortable with the stock? Formerly Altvest. This company has broken Labats record of changing its business every 3 yrs to changing its business every 1 yr Formerly alternative investments. 1/n

$JSESLM $JSESNT Another person who shares my view. As a SNT shareholder I oppse the deal at current pricing.
Looking at Sanlam’s offer to buy out Santam. R100 in Sanlam over past 10years =R200.76 (Total Return) or 7.20%pa R100 in Santam over 10years =R277.47 (before the spike on today’s offer) 10.73%pa. Sanlam offering R505. My view is that it should be around R550 - 38% premium

$JSESLM $JSESNT In almost all big deals these days, the acquirers share price will take a dive and the acquirees share price will go up This is almost always the case! Look at SLM share price today. This plays into my belief that this is a good deal for SLM and less so for SNT
Replying to @allofi
For what its worth I think its a good deal for Sanlam! Just not for me (Santam)

$JSESNT $JSESLM Offer by SLM to buy out SNT Personally as a shareholder of SNT I find this a bit sad. I like SNT. I do not want to hold SLM I would prefer SNT remains listed so I can carry on being a happy shareholder R505 offer price. 26.6% premium

$JSEBLU Peresec Prime Brokers (amongst others) has reduced its holding in BLU Went from 10.4% to 9.34% I said before this is definitely not because of SIM small cap fund which holds a tiny amount of shares. With this share price weakness there are clearly many sellers!
$JSEBLU Plse explain this narrative that SIM selling is affecting the BLU price? They are just merging the small cap fund right? Its a R233m fund. BLU is not top ten holding 20 times more shares traded on the 28th than they hold in total. Dont know the reason. Doubt its SIM

I actually believe the whole narrative on SIM small cap fund borders on deliberate obfuscation or just shoddy journalism and logic.
