Please, I am urgently appealing to you for help concerning the death of my niece, Rebecca Uankhoba, a nursing student who died in Anyigba, Kogi State, on 6 June 2025.
According to the family's investigation and the police case, Rebecca became pregnant, and we allege that her lecturer, , was involved in an attempt to terminate the pregnancy through an unqualified practitioner. Tragically, Rebecca died. We were later informed that her body was taken and abandoned by the roadside.
The police investigated the matter. The officers who investigated the case were Officer Solomon and Inspector Amos. According to what was communicated to the family, the investigation produced admissions/confessions concerning what happened to Rebecca.
The matter went before High Court 6 in Lokoja. However, despite the seriousness of the allegations, suspects were released on bail, and one of the suspects has reportedly remained at large.
Recently, I personally mobilised the police to apprehend the suspect who was still available. I was subsequently contacted by the State Counsel and informed that the judge had directed that the suspect also be released on bail.
As a family, we are deeply concerned about the handling of this case and fear that there may have been interference or a compromise in the process. We are not asking you to prejudge anyone or replace the court. We are asking for an independent journalistic investigation into what happened to Rebecca and why the prosecution has not brought justice to her family.
Mr Rufai, please, we desperately need your help to bring this matter into the public eye and ensure that the relevant authorities properly investigate and prosecute the case.
I have documents and information concerning the police investigation and court proceedings that I can provide to you privately.
Please, sir, kindly give this matter your attention. Rebecca deserves justice.

Number one. This tax law dey completely illegal. What was signed into law, nobody even know wetin e be. It is definitely not what the National Assembly pass. And under the Constitution, the only way any (tax)law fit become law na if National Assembly pass am. This one no pass. Full stop.
Number two. Even based on the so-called gazetted copy wey we don see, any company wey dey below the VAT revenue threshold no suppose charge VAT at all. But once a company cross that threshold, e must charge VAT.
Now here be the madness. How you wan know as a customer whether that company don cross the threshold or not. Company fit sell two types of goods. Some VATable, some no be VATable. Company fit cross the threshold through backend transactions wey customers no see. Nothing for receipt go tell you whether dem don cross am or not.
Yet some of una dey run around dey tell people make dem snap receipt, post am online, tag tax authorities, and report other citizens.
Do you even hear yourself.
This na exactly how police states work. This na wetin dem do for places like Iraq under Saddam Hussein. Zaire under Mobutu. Turn citizens into informants. Create fear. Destroy trust.
Now tax authorities already get access to bank accounts, TIN, transactions, and financial data. Dem fit enter anybody account at any time for any reason. On top of that, una still wan make citizens start policing each other.
This no be tax reform.
This no be education.
This na intimidation.
Nigeria no need snitches. Nigeria need clear laws, limits to power, and accountability.
As e be now, na confusion by design, fear by policy, and enforcement by intimidation.

Today makes it 2years that the young lady medical doctor Dr Vwaere Diaso was killed by a faulty elevator in the state-owned Lagos Island General Hospital.
That elevator has NOT been fixed since that time till now!!!
A bit of background:
Dr Diaso was a medical doctor working as a house officer on 1August2023 in Lagos Island General Hospital when she got trapped in the elevator. The elevator crashed and there was cries for help. For a whole 40 MINUTES, there was ZERO help for this dying doctor trapped in the elevator.
After almost an hour,
She was gotten out of the elevator only for the rescuers to find out there was NO blood in the hospital.
Many medical doctors have raised an alarm about that particular elevator in that hospital for many years but the government paid ZERO attention until this elevator killed a doctor.
Dr Diaso has only just completed medical school before she met her painful ghastly end while working in govt hospital ran by lunatic incompetent animals.
As I write this tweet,
Today marks 2 years after this calamity that has claimed this young doctor’s life.
NOBODY was punished for it.
NOBODY was prosecuted for it.
NOBODY has been sacked for it.
The Lagos state government covered it up!
THE ELEVATOR IS STILL FAULTY TILL NOW.
The ONLY thing that these lunatic insensitive animals in the government understand is public shaming. They will never act right except and unless someone carries a megaphone to publicise their moronic incompetence that leads to wanton preventable loss of human lives.
