Evanston may be the "canary in the coal mine" for the rest of #Illinois
Residents in the Chicago suburb of Evanston are facing a large wave of tax and fee hikes in the city's newly proposed 2027 budget.
The city is asking for an 8.9% property tax levy increase, a 25% water rate hike, and doubled taxes on both natural gas and local amusements.
The primary culprit driving the proposed tax hikes is, predictably, skyrocketing city employee costs and government retiree pensions.

Why does it seem as though much of the polling done these days has an objective of suppressing or discouraging the Republican vote?
Polling is inconsistent enough that the exact number it misses Republican turnout by is 3.7%

Wedgewood Polls just released a bombshell.
Westwood was created as a hoax to expose how bankrupt the polling industry is.
Its fake election polls were cited by the New York Times, FiftyPlusOne, and MSNOW.
There was no vetting. Its polls were complete fabrications.

Wedgewood Polls confessed it outright: "Our fabricated numbers were given instant credibility across platforms and cited on air and reporting."
Now they're calling it a "wake-up call." Give me a break.
Per Josh Holmes, Wedgewood polled the Senate races and had every Democrat winning except one in Mississippi.

No notice given. And no response from the county clerk when people called to ask. It was by luck that one election judge found out by speaking to another election judge YESTERDAY and it was discovered these extra early voting locations are open TOMORROW, Thursday Oct 15. Why these schools? Why only these congressional districts? Why so secretive? A secret voting spot just for schools where no poll watchers know to show up…
