This has always been an incredibly unsafe, downright scary, segment of Memorial Drive in Cambridge for pedestrians and cyclists that's been largely ignored for far too long by @MassDCR.
It shouldn't take loss of life to make our streets safer by design.

And - humblebrag - I got to introduce myself to Mondaire afterwards.
He was so kind and appreciative of my efforts to bring attention to #NY17 through my account.
So a big thanks to everyone who has helped amplify this race.
Let's keep it going!

💜Caring for our community takes a collective effort.
Today, I joined the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute ( @LDBpeaceInst ) and other volunteers in my childhood Dorchester neighborhood to paint the Mother's Day Walk for Peace route purple! 👟💟
We hung flyers and had great conversations with bodega owners, community members, and local businesses to spread awareness about the 28th annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace!☮️
🕊️There's strength in unity! When we come together, we create a strong, supportive, and peaceful environment for everyone.
👋🏽 Join us this Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12, 2024, as we cultivate cycles of peace in our communities. ➡️ mothersdaywalk4peace.org/
📣 And even if you can't walk with us, you can still show your support! Comment, share, or retweet this post to help spread the word! #MDW4P

FOREIGNER’s MICK JONES issues statement:
“Fans will have become very aware that for some time now, I have not been performing onstage with the band. A number of years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
I want everyone to know that I am doing alright, however, l've always liked to be at my best when performing onstage, and sadly at present find that a bit difficult.
I'm still very much involved in the background with Foreigner and remain a presence.
Parkinson's is a daily struggle; several of my friends are also dealing with the disease. The important thing is to persevere with the loving support of my family, and remind myself of the wonderful career l've had in music.
I thank all the fans who have supported Foreigner throughout the years and continue to attend our concerts. Please know I appreciate your support; it always means so very much to me, especially so at this point in my life.”
