SGT Matthew Locke MG
(16 March 1974 - 25 October 2007)
Matthew Locke was born on 16 March 1974 in Bellingen, New South Wales, to Norm and Jan Locke, the youngest of six children in a family of two sisters and four brothers. Locke left school at the age of 15 to work for two years in a sawmill, before enlisting in the army at the age of 17. He instantly developed a passion for soldiering. Two of his brothers had also served in the Australian Defence Force.
Matt was fiercely Australian, believing that we were lucky to live in this country but also believed that other people deserved the same freedoms that we have.
On the 25th October, 2007, Sergeant Matthew Locke (affectionately know as "Locky" by his army buddies and "Grub" by his family) was shot and killed while on duty in the Uruzgan Province. He was serving with the SASR of the Australian forces as part of the security section of the reconstruction task force.
Sergeant Locke was awarded:
the Medal for Gallantry
the Australian Active Service Medal
the Afghanistan Campaign Medal
the Australian Defence Medal
the United Nations Medal with the United Nations Transitional Authority East Timor Ribbon
the Iraq Clasp to the Australian Active Service Medal
the International Coalition Against Terrorism Clasp to the Australian Active Service Medal
the Infantry Combat Badge
the Returned from Active Service Badge.
During Sergeant Locke's service in the Australian Army he deployed on the following Operations:
Operation Tanager (East Timor): 2001
Operation Slipper (Afghanistan): 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2007
Operation Catalyst (Iraq): 2004, 2005, 2007

Anthony Albanese - turn the temp down.
Also Albanese 👇
“This is a crucial time for our movement because across the world, hard-right populists are on the march, peddling politics that is dangerous, divisive and downright dishonest.
“We simply must defeat them. We owe it to history. We owe it to the nation, and we will defeat them"
He needs to go, this flog has shown his true colours, the country is fucked... He made sure he drove every last single nail in to its coffin and then some.
Going to be a long ride before we get our chance to have a say at the ballot box, who knows where this ends.
While you're struggling to make ends meet under the weight of 4.5yrs of a failing government.
The priority of the Albanese government is politics, division and trying to hood wink Australians to believe they are morally superior to the rest.
This is vile, All because Helen Haines dare question the integrity of the PM in light of very questionable circumstances.
The Albanese regime will be remembered as one of the darkest chapter in our nation's history.

Great observation.

When you start to realise, that less and less people also agree with your views, you get angry, you get scared, you retaliate violently. - The Left ATM
What the hell has happened to this country.
Even at the height of Covid backlash this country wasn't as divided and dangerous as it is today.
We are a society in rapid, possibly terminal decline.
The government, the opposition and media need to take a good hard look at themselves.
The political establishment has ruined what was once the envy of the world.
The irony.
Senator Lambie previously stated regarding anti-vaccine protestors: "… those anti-vaxxers out there – or that 20-30 per cent – the ones out there protesting in the streets and doing that sort of thing, I think you're going to find the rest of us coming at you lock, stock, and barrel."
Staggering Hypocrisy.

Crossbencher Jacqui Lambie has warned One Nation’s “nastiness” is “pushing us towards bloody anarchy” in remarks responding to the party’s cartoon mocking her health battle with vaginal prolapse. Full story: bit.ly/3UDAfLf

100․ Mr McBride and Mr Oakes had one subsequent meeting in person. After that, they communicated via the Signal app. Mr McBride later deleted most of his communications with Mr Oakes.
101․ Later, Mr Oakes contacted Mr McBride via Signal to discuss the contents of the stories that Mr Oakes intended to publish. In his interview with police, Mr McBride said:
But I met Dan Oakes, and I gave him all the materials. So again he was very enthusiastic and again he seemed to get it. And again, he was going to do a story. And he did do a story on it, but a totally different story to the one, um, that I was pushing.…He calls me and he says, "I'm going to run a story, it's going to be very damning, it's going to say the SAS kill people unnecessarily. I'm going to use this other witness[.] A total opposite to what you've said. I'm just warning you." And I was like, "Never call me again."
102․ On 10 and 11 July 2017, Mr Oakes published a series of articles which were collectively titled The Afghan Files. The information contained in the documents provided to Mr Oakes by Mr McBride was contained in this series of articles.
103․ On 11 July 2017, the AFP received a referral from the Chief of the Defence Force and the Secretary of the Department of Defence to investigate the unlawful communication of information.
104․ The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions subsequently decided that, notwithstanding that there was a reasonable prospect of conviction, it was not in the public interest to prosecute Mr Oakes.

Putrid stuff from @theage here.
Not that we should be surprised.
What ever happened to the presumption of innocence?
Only disgrace here is this tabloid trash masquerading as "news" the Parasites must have got a comments for cash cheque from Canberra.
We are dealing with a Hostile regime.
Not sure who they are actually serving but it isn't the Australian people.
We allowed possibly the best democracy in the world and our nation to be turned in to a tinpot communist dictatorship.
As Australia’s new Digital Duty of Care Bill heads to Parliament, liber-net CEO @NAffects & I dug into the PR campaign behind it. What we found was one of the strangest pieces of political theatre in recent Australian history. 🧵
What a disgrace.
Again, it's about time for an election.
Wow, wow, wow. I just left the National Press Club where Minister of Communications @AnikaWells spoke. She repeatedly and brazenly lied about the fake accounts, claiming they were only for enforcement, even though the legislation says in black and white that the eSafety Commissioner can use them in unlimited ways for "educational" and "promotional" purposes.
One big moment came when a Politico reporter got up and said something about how mean people like @PaulineHansonOz were to eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman-Grant. Seriously. A supposed reporter was white-knighting for a government official during the official Q&A. The same reporter had come up to me before Wells' speech and asked if I had criticized Inman-Grant. Who needs government censors when you have Politico?
After he asked his question, Wells showed the most emotion, describing online criticism of Inman-Grant as "abuse." She also talked about her own staff's supposed suffering. I kid you not. The mask dropped, and you could see what really upset her: people — including a sitting Senator — criticizing government officials.
After gaslighting the audience about fake accounts, Wells repeatedly insisted the government wasn't trying to censor content. She said this after filling her speech with examples of content she claimed harmed people. You couldn't make it up.
This legislation is the culmination of decades of progressives equating words with physical violence. Wells cynically compared her legislation to prevent psychological "harm" to various laws that protect people from physical harm, like seat belt laws.
BTW, Wells never said what content it was that she thought caused eating disorders. Pictures of skinny women? Dietary advice? Who knows. Nobody asked.
Another important moment came when Wells explicitly said Australia would be pursuing censorship alongside other nations, including the UK, France, and Spain—all countries where governments risk losing power to populists.
I spoke with Julie Inman-Grant before the speech began and asked about the fake accounts. She insisted they were there just for enforcement, and when I asked why the law allowed them to be used for government propaganda, she said she might write an "enforcement memo," which, of course, would have no impact on the legislation.
After her speech, I went up to Wells and asked if she was seriously saying the legislation didn't allow the government to use fake accounts for government propaganda. She refused to answer. A man who said he was from the National Press Club stepped in front of me and said I could interview her afterward. But that wasn't possible because they rushed her out the back to avoid any difficult questions.
So there you have it. The pettiest people in Australia are seeking to silence citizens and their political opponents in the name of protecting children. These deeply intolerant and cynical people want to control what you can see and say online. And they're doing it with most of the media's support. Australia has reached a new low in its rapid descent into dogmatism, intolerance, and censorship.
