IMO, the jury verdict from the Clancy trial encapsulates where the mindset is of millions of voting Americans. It doesn't seem possible that a majority of us can support wildly insane ideas which would have been unacceptable 40 years ago, but here we are.

I am an Iranian woman who grew up under the Islamic Republic, where even the most basic freedoms came at a price. I have fought battles many Western feminists cannot begin to imagine. My understanding of women's rights was forged through resistance, sacrifice, and survival, not slogans.
And yet, I have reached a point where I can no longer defend the direction Western feminism is taking.
Watching women use freedoms that others have died fighting for to champion ideas I believe threaten those very freedoms is infuriating.
Rights without responsibility, freedom without judgment, and activism without an understanding of consequences can become instruments of destruction.
I fought against oppression in Iran. I refuse to applaud what I see as the erosion of Western society simply because it is being promoted in the name of women's empowerment.
