Cy Young appeared on the CBS game show "I've Got a Secret" in 1955, only months before his death. There is something surreal about seeing the man whose name became baseball's pitching award sitting on a television game-show set.
Young was already a figure from an earlier baseball world by then. Television suddenly put that world in front of a modern audience.

Please keep sharing this video widely. Six days after conclusively revealing that Brian Cole Jr. cannot be the J6 b0mber, it may seem we are being ignored, but I can report that "official Washington" is absolutely VERY aware of this video and its implications. That includes MSM outlets, Congress, DOJ, FBI, etc.
@accabbat has updated this to include a couple more of Brian's clothing items with the tags still hanging. On Thursday, I went back into Brian's room to dig around for more clues, and sure enough, I found several more jackets and pullovers with the tags still on them. In light of @SteveBakerUSA’s new CCTV video which appears to exonerate Brian Cole Jr, I sent a letter to @FBIDirectorKash & DOJ today, requesting they immediately review the video, release Mr. Cole, and conduct a J6 pipe bomb investigation to include police & other officials.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of dear friend Sam McDowell. A strikeout king. His life a story of redemption;after extensive education/training, Sam was a counselor for athletes suffering from addiction and depression. Condolences to family/friends 🙏🏻

Sorry to hear the news of the passing of #Pittsburgh native and former 6x @MLB All-Star “Sudden Sam” McDowell, who died tonight at age 84, according to his son.
The multi-sport athlete from @centralvikings played in the majors from 1961-1975 and was a member of the Cleveland Indians, San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates.
During his career, McDowell notched 2,453 strikeouts while maintaining a 3.17 ERA and an overall record of 141–134.
McDowell led the American League in ERA in 1965 and led the AL in strikeouts five times. He is a member of the @CleGuardians Hall of Fame.
He only pitched for his hometown @Pirates in his final professional season.
According to his son Tim, Sam's impact on baseball went well beyond his playing career. He spent many years helping other players dealing with addiction and became an important source of support for people throughout the baseball community.
