Disappointed to read this. The need for the new haem ward and equal consideration for blood cancers is contained within our new policy manifesto. We will continue to do all that we can to advocate for blood cancer patients in Northern Ireland. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c60q…

@AnthonyNolan What a beautiful message to receive. Eimear touch some many people and her dying wish is being fulfilled. We won’t mention the donors name. And we thank you for creating home in Eimear’s memory Anyone aged 16-30 healthy can join the bone marrow donor register

We held our annual Derry Walk in Sept and enjoyed meeting up with supporters, some who have joined us many times before and some who came along for the first time, with everyone united in their aim to raise awareness of blood cancer in Northern Ireland. #SupportingLocalCharity

We were pleased to support the family of the late Catherine Sherry during the presentation of a petition calling for CAR-T therapy to be delivered in NI by Justin McNulty at Stormont. The petition is still live and we encourage everyone to sign it. change.org/p/bring-life-savi…

@RobbieButlerMLA September is blood cancer awareness month, why has the all party group on cancer and our health care providers done NOTHING to promote Blood Cancer Awareness. Even our SOS @RhonddaBryant has ignored any request to share a social media post WHY?

Attending the LGBTQIA+ Cancer Care Conference NI today at The MAC as Chair of the All-Party Group on Cancer. Powerful discussion on making cancer care more inclusive and addressing inequalities in screening, treatment and support. #HereForEveryone @OGCancerNI

So many of you will have seen the news today about the amazing Faith Hinitt having to raise over £100k to fund her stem cell transplant. Faith was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and had a stem cell transplant, but she relapsed within a year. Shockingly, the NHS refused her a second. She funded her second transplant through the public and goodwill and is now in recovery and hopefully please god will stay there. But no one should have to go through this. We urgently need a change in policy right across the UK. Huge thanks to Faith, @LeukUK @AnthonyNolan @DKMS_uk for their campaign on this. I’m tabling a parliamentary motion and encourage you to ask your MP to support it. Will post as soon as it’s live! #uk #bloodcancer #nhs #stemcell #cancer

What an incredible man, absolutely awe-inspiring yet heartbreaking. This reminds me of the same grit and determination that Caolan Finnegan had, another talented sportsman who died from brain cancer 2 years ago and an amazing young constituent of mine from Lisburn who passed away 2 years ago. The UKG need to prioritise and grip this issue- please, please invest in treatment and research pathways 🙏🙏
Archie Goodburn has made an emotional plea to the prime minister. The Scottish 50m breaststroke record holder was diagnosed with brain cancer two years ago.

Because there is no current screening for ovarian cancer - awareness matters. Recognising the signs and symptoms can make all the difference in achieving earlier diagnosis and improving outcomes. #ovariancancer #ovariancancerawareness #WomensHealth #BEAT

Great to see blood cancer patients in the UK will now receive the RSV vaccine free. Unfortunately this support is not available to patients here in Ireland.
We’re delighted that thousands more people, including those with leukaemia, will now be eligible for the RSV vaccine on the NHS. 💉 We called for broader access to RSV vaccination for people at increased risk and are pleased to see this reflected. 👏 england.nhs.uk/2026/07/thous…
