Leave it to Dirk Nowitzki to give the best monologue I've heard on national TV about why the Nico Harrison firing was long overdue. 41 forever.

Says that Luka tends to workout when no one is watching, but the one time he saw him workout was the most impressive thing he’s ever seen.

Let’s be clear. Most people in the Mavs organization were not over him. In fact, most are furious. One small man and his weird inner circle were over him. And they’ll always be remembered as the biggest morons in sports.
The Mavericks were reportedly “over” Luka Dončić, per @TheSteinLine
“With Dončić, meanwhile, one phrase you keep hearing, basically, is that the Mavericks are over him. Dallas has likewise said to have cooled on its star's insistence on hiring his own team of training experts — even though it was done at his own expense — to handle the bulk of his medical and nutritional needs separate from the club starting with the 2023-24 season.”

The most shocking part of it all is the Mavs didn’t open it up to the league that they were looking to trade Luka. They would have had a bigger haul had other teams known. This just seems fishy. Lakers are the cash cow for the NBA, they always seem to pull off these deals 🤷🏻♂️

“[Denver’s] not seeded like last season, and people are still talking about [Jokic] being the MVP. When Luka was averaging damn near a triple-double, they were like ‘oh, he shouldn’t win MVP because of his seeding.’”
