NBA teams were 1713-1 when leading by 6 or more in the last 30 sec of regulation in the playoffs in the last 29 years. They are now 1713-2. Rockets are the 2nd team in 29 years to blow a 6+ point lead in the final 30 seconds of regulation, joining the 2024 Knicks.

Checking in on the NBA’s old timers… Durant’s flirting with 10 turnovers in his first playoff game as a Rocket. Steph’s at Coachella. Kawhi’s planting trees. LeBron is averaging 39 MPG & 24-8-10 to go up 2-0 without his team’s 2 leading scorers. 🐐🐐🐐

Dan Hurley on the two personas every head coach must master: The Jockey 🏇, and the Corner Man. 🥊 In practice — you are the jockey. You push. You challenge. You demand more than they think they have. You stretch them past comfort so execution becomes inevitable. On game night — you become the corner man. You steady. You simplify. You remind them who they are. Confidence replaces correction. Preparation is where you build them. Performance is where you believe in them.

Michigan and UConn basketball players open up about their faith on Easter weekend ahead of the NCAA championship on Monday. “Jesus wiped my eyes clean. My whole mind is different.” “The way I talk, or act changed. The way I treat other people. It’s more not to get, but more to serve.” Happy Easter! Video: @cbnsports_

Everybody wants discipline… until discipline gets loud.
Everybody wants toughness… until toughness gets uncomfortable. Hard coaching isn’t abuse.
Hard coaching is correction.
Hard coaching is standards.
Hard coaching is loving a kid enough not to let him stay average. If a coach is demanding effort, detail, toughness, and accountability bothers you… that probably says more about today’s culture than it does the coach.
