For CCSU diehards, @JBudzelek wrote a CCSU preview after talking with HC Patrick Sellers. CCSU is looking to rebound from what ended up being a disappointing 2025-26 campaign. #NECMBB

This is gut-wrenching.
Danny was a fantastic mentor and friend, and he established a tremendous standard in this industry. Nobody better in HS sports. His legacy is as strong as anyone’s.
Sad day for all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

12 hours & 42 games later… that’s a wrap for me from Worcester.
The @NEPSAC continues to do the scholastic period as well as anyone in the country - a top notch event, run by a handful of individuals, that do so much for basketball in New England.
Final thoughts from me later!

Traveling all day today, but just heard Bentley will announce their new basketball coach this am. Sounds like UMBC assistant / Bentley alum Danny Lawson is the choice here. Would replace his father Jay who retired after 34 seasons. Stay tuned…

Welcome home, Danny Lawson '07!
Lawson was named the fifth head coach of the Bentley men's basketball program.
Following his outstanding student-athlete career, Lawson coached at the NCAA DI ranks with UMBC, Duquesne, and LIU.
