Appreciate the NOW.
Rick Pitino is spot on. Every player’s hourglass runs out faster than they think.
One day, the practices, the games, the grind - it’s all gone.
Cherish every rep, every moment, every opportunity.
Don’t waste your sand. ⏳

Anyone who discourages an athlete from playing multiple sports does not have that athletes best interests in mind.
End of story.

Keep your kids playing multiple sports for as long as possible. Don't listen to club coaches pushing them to specialize. They'll become more well-rounded athletes and people (and far less prone to injury/burnout) if they don't.
If you're good enough, colleges will find you.
Dear young athletes- keep this photo saved to your phone and show the next person who says you have to focus on one sport in HS.
The amount of kids I’ve heard say “I can’t risk getting hurt” or “my coach won’t let me” drives me crazy.
You get one shot to be a HS athlete.
