Now that the Glenville football saga appears to be over…what a waste of courtroom time in not one, but two different courts. It didn’t belong in court to begin with and the original judge admitted he didn’t have any authority in the matter, yet issued a ruling anyway. 🙄

No matter how you try to spin it, the kids lose out for Glenville because Ted Ginn Sr and company can’t play by the rules. This isn’t the 1st time. They knew what they were doing
Glenville's season comes to an end in a courtroom, not on a football field as the OHSAA has won its stay pending appeal in the 8th District Court of Appeals.
This means University School will play at Salem tomorrow night.

I’m not a fan of #OHSAA but it’s a voluntary member supported organization and if you join you agree to be bound by the rules. If the rules say you need to verify your player eligibility to OHSAA by a certain date then you do that. This is on the Glenville AD and coaching staff.

If courts are going to be continuously cherry-picked to overturn OHSAA rulings, you might as well kiss high school sports goodbye.
It will be a nightmare and schools will be subject to no one but themselves and greed.
I’m not saying OHSAA is always right, but it’s better than the wild west of the NCAA.

We want to update you on our earlier announcement this morning about the Division V, Region 18 regional quarterfinal between Bluffton and Archbold.
Unfortunately, Black Swamp Football can no longer broadcast the game live. Although we were initially told we would be permitted to provide coverage, we were later notified that an NFHS affiliate would be broadcasting the contest.
Due to the NFHS's relationship with the OHSAA, its affiliated broadcaster has priority for live video coverage. This decision stands despite our extensive coverage of both programs throughout the regular season.
We are disappointed by this development, particularly given the time and resources that independent media organizations across Ohio invest in covering local high school athletics. We recognize this is a challenge many smaller media outlets across the state face.
However, we remain committed to providing postseason coverage and are working to secure another regional quarterfinal broadcast for Friday night. We hope our next broadcast will feature Division VI, Region 22 action between PH and Columbus Grove.
We anticipate having confirmation and additional details late tomorrow afternoon or evening.
We appreciate your patience, understanding and continued support of Black Swamp Football as we work to bring you coverage of the teams and communities we serve.

So this is again is a clerical error…not an indictment on any student athlete on Glenville. This is on the adults (parents included), flat out!
