Veronica Burton doesn't lead the Valkyries in scoring, but she's become the heart and soul of the team.
From clutch shots to relentless defense, Burton's selfless leadership has helped bring Golden State within one win of a WNBA championship.

Lucky to work for a HC that does the same. Canât say enough about how much it has helped my personal growth.
At High Point, Flynn Clayman runs his staff differently.
Instead of assistants doing a little bit of everything, he assigns coordinators:
One owns offense.
One owns defense.
One owns special teams.
Not traditional. But intentional.
Because when everyone is responsible for everything⊠no one truly grows.
Clayman learned this from his mentors. When he was trusted to run the offense, it accelerated his development. So now, he does the same for his staff.
Yes, you give up some control.
But you gain clarity, ownership, and better coaching.
Assistants arenât just helping anymore.
Theyâre leading.
And when coaches grow, the team grows.
Build a staff where people can specialize, own their role, and thrive, not just survive.
Are you asking your people to do everything⊠or putting them in positions to be great at something?

Caught flashes of Utah State MBB this weekend circled them to watch Monday.
Wow. Jerrod Calhoun put on a MASTERCLASS in attacking switch/drop. Clinic tape.

The best coaches donât just study the game. They study other ways to see the game.
Thatâs what Joe Mazzulla did this summer.
Instead of staying comfortable, he went to France, not for vacation, but to learn.
He spent time with Le Mans head coach Guillaume Vizade to exchange ideas about basketball philosophy spacing, ball movement, and how to teach offense.
And months later⊠it showed up.
Not as a copied system.
But as a refined one.
More flow.
More movement.
More intentionality.
Hereâs what most people miss:
Growth doesnât come from doing more of the same.
It comes from seeing the same thing differently.
Mazzulla didnât go to France to find answers.
He went to ask better questions.
The best leaders donât just gather information, they translate it into something that fits their people.
Where are you still operating from comfort instead of curiosity?
