"Having grown up in west-central Ohio, I know firsthand that job opportunity is a constant priority. Meta’s data centers can support more than 1,000 jobs during the construction phase before hosting at least 100 jobs once the site is operational. This is a valuable opportunity for skilled tradespeople in the Piqua area, whether they’re seasoned professionals or apprentices just starting out in their careers." -Christopher Hibbert, Enviornmental Health and Safety lead for @Meta. #Datacenter @CityofPiqua #miamicountyohio

miamivalleytoday.com/piquas-… "The proposed Meta data center represents a significant economic opportunity for Piqua and the surrounding region. At peak construction, the project is expected to support more than 1,000 skilled trades workers, providing substantial employment opportunities for electricians, plumbers, operating engineers, and other construction professionals. Once operational, the facility is projected to support approximately 100 competitive jobs. This will have a large addition to the tax base for the city of Piqua."-@SteveHuffmanOH

A farmer, tired of rats destroying his crops and stealing his grain, came up with a clever but cruel plan. He threw a dead pig into a deep, abandoned well. Attracted by the smell, nearly 80 rats rushed into the well to feast on the carcass. At first, everything seemed wonderful. There was more than enough food for everyone, and the rats ate until they were satisfied.
But when the food was gone, they discovered something terrifying. The walls of the well were too steep to climb. They were trapped. Days passed, and hunger turned into desperation. Desperation turned into aggression. The rats that had once eaten peacefully beside one another began fighting for survival. Eventually, they began killing and eating each other.
One by one, their numbers dwindled until only a single rat remained. Its eyes were bloodshot, and it had survived by consuming its own kind. Then the farmer returned, lowered a rope into the well, and rescued the last surviving rat. But he didn't save it out of kindness or compassion.
The farmer knew the rat had learned to survive by hunting other rats. When he released it into his fields, it would continue killing its own kind instead of eating his grain. The farmer had turned his enemy into his greatest weapon.
And that is the lesson of divide and conquer. Those who control the trap don't need to fight the battles themselves. They simply create the conditions in which others turn against one another.
The rats believed their enemies were the other rats. They never realized that the true enemy was the farmer who had put them there.
The greatest danger isn't always the enemy standing in front of you. Sometimes it's the one who created the conflict and stands quietly watching you destroy each other.
Before you turn against your neighbor because of their political beliefs, ask yourself who benefits from keeping Americans divided. While we fight each other over Republican and Democrat, we may be overlooking those who profit from the conflict. Perhaps the real question isn't which side you're on, but who built the well—and why they want us fighting at the bottom of it.

We fought hard to put armed staff in every school in Florida. It’s unfortunate that Oregon chose another path leaving its schools vulnerable.
Fortunately, an armed citizen stepped in and stopped an active assailant.
More armed Americans make these attacks less likely.
🚨#UPDATE: Police Chief Mike Krantz praised the heroic citizen who intervened to stop the monster and the teacher who fought him to protect her students.
“When someone is willing to risk their own life for others, we recognize that. And the quick thinking to observe, to then park, and then follow someone into the school is incredible....
“The teacher who is willing to stand and fight for her children. Incredible.
“We don’t see that a lot in society, and we recognize it when we need to.”
God bless these heroes.🙏

Hey @MLB - wanna get more kids watching baseball?
Maybe start with the commercials.
Watching the playoffs tonight with my kids and here's the rundown:
- Megan Fox selling ED pills in a red bodysuit
- The scariest movie trailer you've ever seen
- Sydney Sweeney in zero clothes promoting betting on sports
Leagues can't figure out why kids don't watch.
You don't need a Nickelodeon game. You're not the Savannah Bananas.
Just show baseball in a way I can leave on in my house.

I will have more to say, but for now this is my prevailing thought:
For years, the Guardians have been carried by Jose Ramirez. He has been asked to do everything. To carry terrible rosters to the playoffs and then carry them even further.
It's poetic that in an injury-riddled down year, his teammates picked him up and got Cleveland to the playoffs while he struggled.
And with their backs against the wall, he returned the favor in three straight elimination games, capped off by his home run being the only score in a historic Game 5 victory.
An all-time moment for our GOAT.

People don’t watch the Guardians, so they might think this reaction is normal for Jose Ramirez. It’s not. He’s one of the most stoic stars in the game.
This is raw emotion from someone fighting against his body to compete for the city.

I “got to” drive my kids to Orlando this weekend in my wife’s jeep Wagoneer (which is very nice) but leaving the FSD behind is painful at this point. It’s like living in the future and then being transported back. People don’t know.
