Full circle moment in Silsbee!
When Head Coach Randy Smith arrived over a decade ago, Darshon Turk, Morgan Robberts, and Rueben Hatton were among his very first players. Now, they've returned to teach and coach alongside him.

RIP Coach! You took a chance on an unknown kid from Troy State University in 2001 bringing me into the NFL. I will never forget what you did for me. Love you brother. Sending prayers to all your friends and family. Rest easy! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

RIP Frank Gansz Jr. 🕊️
Gansz Jr. served as the Chiefs’ special teams coordinator from 2001-05 and helped build one of the most dynamic special teams units in the NFL.
Under his leadership, Kansas City led the NFL in both punt return and kickoff return average in 2003, while Dante Hall became one of the most electric returners in league history.
Gansz Jr. was also the son of legendary special teams mastermind and former Chiefs head coach Frank Gansz Sr.
A tremendous football family and a big part of Chiefs history. Our thoughts are with the Gansz family. 🙏🏽
