Apparently Jersey City has ranked 3rd in best cities for Halloween 🎃, Newark was 10th. Population density probably made it good for trick or treaters, meaning lots of candy and passed out sugar rushed kiddos at 830pm 😆 nj1015.com/jersey-city-hallo…

What a hero! 🙌 Ariana Leonardis, a student at Ocean County Vo-Tech's Brick Center, learned CPR in class on a Thursday
Two days later, out walking with her cousin in Tuckerton Saturday night, she heard a man yelling for help, asked the mom's permission and got a 3-week-old baby breathing again before EMS even got there.

Did you tell someone to vote today New Jersey? @LyndaNJPatriot did!
So I have gotten at least 10 hunters to early vote this week before the deer rut begins! Now they can just hunt because their vote is in! This hunter was camera shy but was his first midterm election voting! They voted all Red in New Jersey!

Scumbag illegal pleads guilty. 😡 Carlos Cordero-Gutierrez, 54, of Juarez, Mexico, admitted Tuesday in Camden federal court that he hauled more than 260 pounds of meth into New Jersey in a tractor-trailer back in April, the biggest meth seizure in state history. He faces at least 10 years and up to life when he's sentenced March 23

How cool is this? A Morris Canal boat in Boonton around 1900, sitting in its cradle at the foot of an inclined plane, about to ride the rails right up the hill. The canal used 23 water-powered planes and 23 locks to haul coal boats across North Jersey, from Phillipsburg to Jersey City. It closed for good in 1924

Finally, some common sense. 🙌 A new Senate bill, S4838 from Sen. Latham Tiver (Atlantic/Burlington), says nobody gets registered for NJ state or local elections until the county confirms they're a citizen, using MVC and federal DHS records. Why isn't this a thing already?
Counties would also audit the rolls twice a year, by April 1 & Sept. 1, and anyone flagged gets 30 days to prove it

Clementon Park & Splash World in South Jersey is closing after the 2026 season
The 119-year-old park (opened 1907) announced it made the “difficult decision” to shut down after five seasons under current ownership and put the property up for sale. Last operating day was Sept. 7. Owners say they hope a buyer will keep the legacy going
End of an era for a lot of NJ/Philly families. Hope it finds a new home

😡 A judge on Oct. 26 ordered illegal Lucio Lopez-Perez, 36, of Erma, released before trial. He's charged with DWI and assault by auto after Middle Township Officer Austin Kapurelos, 26 and just married, was hit during a traffic stop on Route 47 on Oct. 16
Prosecutors won a stay, so he stays locked up till December. Rep. Jeff Van Drew says he's here illegally with an ICE detainer

Jeff Van Drew says the suspected drunk driver who hit Patrolman Austin Kapurelos during a traffic stop Friday night is in the country illegally and has an active ICE detainer! Wtf 🤬
Lucio Lopez-Perez of Lower Township, is charged with DWI and assault by auto, among other offenses. Van Drew is calling on the Cape May County sheriff to turn him over to federal authorities, and Mayor Christopher Leusner says the detainer should be honored once the state is done with the case
The officer's father said: "If this man hadn't been here illegally, Austin would be sitting on the couch with his wife in their new home right now." Kapurelos was in critical but stable condition as of Saturday

Teva, which got up to nearly $40 million in state tax credits to move here, says the plant is underused and too costly
