When we say SFMTA has zero incentive to fix or reduce their budget if both Prop H and RTM pass in November…We mean it. SFMTA is banking on both measures to pass so they can please labor unions. Instead of reducing attrition/absenteeism, overtime spending, and more. Vote NO on Prop H and Prop RTM.

Vote No on Prop I Why? Just yesterday housing non-profit, Mission Economic Development Association (the type of org that would be a beneficiary of Prop I funds) was put on the Controller’s watchlist due to nine financial errors identified. - It would increase the City’s General Fund deficit by $120 million annually - It would prevent the Board of Supervisors from lowering real property transfer tax without asking voters at the ballot - 15% of funds if passed has nothing to do with building new homes Vote No on Prop I
Vote No On Proposition I Why? - It would act as an non-profit slush fund - There’s no stated requirement for a single unit of housing to be built - It would take away General Fund money that would typically go toward public safety and essential services No On Proposition I

Who is the largest donor funding yes on the $17B Measure RTM transit tax while transit spends more to move less people? SEIU. Who is on strike today because *checks notes* they don't want to commute to the office? Also SEIU. We are not your ATM. Vote NO on Measure RTM.

CSF Members: YOU DID THIS!   70% of the letters to the Police Commission, supporting police use of technology (with safeguards), were from CSF Members.  At the meeting itself, a few of our members spoke, but the majority at the meeting was opposed. Your emails contributed to the passage of General Order 10.12.   Speaking out Matters. Thank you CSF Members for advancing safety for all San Franciscans!

Vote No on Proposition H. Why? - The tax will raise costs across SF for 15 years and is passed on to renters and small business owners
 - There is no accountability in Prop H. No reporting is due until a year after the dispersal of fund payouts begin. And the "oversight body” is a group of citizens (appointed by the SFMTA Board) that has no enforcement powers
 - There is no enforceable requirement for SFMTA to be more efficient or more effective.
 - SFMTA could reduce costs up to $300 million without MUNI service cuts, as noted in our March 2026 SFMTA Budget Analysis

- Ridership is 81%of pre-pandemic levels. Demand is still lagging. Yet SFMTA wants to increase service. Where’s the common sense in that?

- SFMTA admitted today at the Board meeting they could be looking at reducing costs through absenteeism, attrition and excessive overtime to reduce costs but have chosen not to wait Vote No on Proposition H

Reminder: Great Highway was closed bc of lies. Local residents overwhelmingly voted against it. Help them bring sanity back to their neighborhood. Yes on G
Prop K pants on fire... These drawings were on the Prop K website before the election. They've now been removed. Prop K dishonestly sold eastside voters on a pretty park w these renderings, while Prop only closed a road. Voters should know they were duped.

Unions representing transit workers have contributed $1.9 million to the YES on RTM campaign. Their dues revenue come from your tax dollars. Then they recycle it into campaigns to get you to pay more taxes and to further increase their dues revenue. Absolutely insane!

9/10: We believe Muni is an important fabric to the continued recovery of SF. But we also believe in accountability and avoiding unnecessary bloat. SFMTA wants to hire more (500 positions). They will be able to do so if Proposition H and Proposition RTM passes. There is no demand for these positions today. There is no incentive for them to follow through with further efficiencies if both measures pass.

10/10: Crickets Mr. Lashinsky! You’re connecting all the dots and making many of the right observations in this article. A reminder: ConnectedSF has proposed alternative solutions to City Hall and SFMTA. Those solutions include fixing and reducing their budget. Without putting the burden on San Franciscans. Our proposed solutions would not impact current service levels. Do we need to say more? Vote No on Prop H.

7/10: True. It is yours and my choice to live in San Francisco (smile). We are fine with paying our fair share in taxes. But there needs to be accountability, responsible financial management and clear outcomes before asking for more money. Mayor Lurie used his problem-solving skills right away as Mayor. By addressing and coming to agreement with laborers in the Hotel sector. Why couldn't he do something similar with SFMTA?

8/10: “I believe that the city can find additional funds and business-as-usual with Muni’s labor unions should end.” Full stop. The money is in front of City Hall. The political will is not. The result of City Hall and SFMTA not fixing the SFMTA budget. Translates to the burden being put on San Franciscans in the midst of an affordability crisis.

5/10: The City was frozen in ember for the first two years of the pandemic. Ridership significantly declined. SFMTA chose to give raises to employees. Ridership is still below pre-pandemic levels, hovering at 80-85%. However, this entire time SFMTA has chosen to retain staff. With the exception of letting go dozen or so employees in the Spring of 2025. Is that responsible?

6/10: We appreciate the elimination of many positions. But, these positions were all vacant. There is and was no demand for these positions. SFMTA is not a job-training ground on the taxpayer dime. Sorry not sorry. Adams Says:

2/10: Lashinsky is correct, the fearmongering by SFMTA is not real life. He indicates MUNI might have back-up plans. If they don’t have a backup plan, they are unacceptably irresponsible. If they do have a plan, then it’s dishonest not to share it. Every well-run business has alternative solutions or plans. In case the “lead plan”goes the wrong way. Adam writes:

4/10: It’s the 9-5, 8-6, everyday residents vs. the Unions. Laborers can earn a fair wage and benefits. BUT they want more. City Hall protects the unions first. Of course. 🙄 Feeling like there needs to be more focus on residents vs. unions / special interests? Signup for ConnectedSF Newsletter--> connectedsf.com/newsletter-s…

3/10: “Does not envision the city finding money elsewhere, which it always does.” Remember Prop L (2024), “Fund the Bus?” It FAILED and we’re still running service at the same levels pre-November, 2024. Proposition H can fail and service will run at current or similar levels as today. Don't be fooled.

1/10: *Correction: Vote No on Prop H In Adam Lashinsky’s Op-Ed he spends most of his time artfully convincing himself, and us readers, to say NO on H. But then, defying all his logic, he grudgingly says vote yes. Let’s look at his commentary and reality, each point in turn. Link Here—>sfstandard.com/opinion/2026/…
