The FBS Oversight Committee says in a statement that "instant replay protocols were not followed in the contest’s second-to-last play" in the Western Michigan-Michigan game, and "had the protocols been followed, the outcome of the game would have been different."
FBS oversight committee says it cannot overturn the result.

In this day in 2018, North Texas embarrassed Arkansas 44-17 in Fayetteville. Keegan Brewer fooled the Razorbacks by pretending to signal a fair catch, then returned the punt 90 yards for a touchdown. UNT also intercepted six passes. It was the program’s first road win over a Power Five team since 1999
