Dodged a bullet at my furnished MTR after a tenant asked for a discounted stay. When I got the sense they were going to be high maintenance, I dug into their Airbnb reviews further and denied their stay after my suspicions were confirmed. Then, they showed their true colors…

They tried to do exactly this with the house I recently bought. They painted it and marked it up $120k a couple weeks later… I closed on it (a little more than 6 months after they listed it) for only $20k more than they bought it for… and got $7k in concessions.
