I don’t understand how people refusing to support Abdul El-Sayed over allegations of antisemitism aren’t equally outraged by the glaringly obvious Islamophobia and bigotry coming directly out of Mike Rogers’ mouth.
And let me be clear: I have yet to see receipts that match the most inflammatory allegations against El-Sayed.
I’ve found no credible evidence that he belongs to or has any pledged loyalty to the Muslim Brotherhood, supports jihadist terrorism, or intends to impose Sharia law. In fact, independent fact-checkers have debunked these claims.

I supported Haley Stevens—she was my friend. I am shocked by her decision to support an anti-choice Trump Republican. Rogers attacks on Dr. El Sayed have been disgusting and his votes to take resources away from vulnerable people cruel. Here the thing on Michigan: This is all on El-Sayed. He has never, ever condemned antisemitism and Israel hate. Never. He just hasn’t. And he’s had a million opportunities to do so. He would easily condemn racism against black people. But not antisemitism against Jews. El-Sayed may still win, but he’s the reason this race is super close. Again, WTF is wrong with you? I am a Jew. I went to Yeshiva for 8 years. El-Sayed doesn't owe you or anyone else a condemnation on your terms. He has condemned it on his terms. He faces Islamophobic sentiment all the time, that minor differentiation matters to him. He is a smart good candidate, and Michigan will do well to elect him. You're way off on this, Joe. Stevens is a turncoat, a jilted lover, a bought and paid for shill, and El-Sayed is NONE of those things.
