Many libertarians will say "taxation is theft" and talk about "second amendment solutions" but still get upset about this
It's hypocritical but also rational: the logical part of their brain might agree, but the emotional part is (reasonably) scared of saying it out loud

WTF, $3000 Samsung TV has an always-on mic, automatic content recognition, geo tracking, network mapping, and ships your data to Samsung + 400 partners.
Bro Rooted a brand-new 2025 Samsung TV after noticing absurdly targeted ads.
Firmware was locked down, so zero-days it was.
Got a root shell.
then found: always-on voice service, ACR, geo, full telemetry pipeline, and four separate DRM systems.
This isn’t a bug, It’s the product bro.

A few years ago, I realized that the biggest problem with Monero isn’t that “criminals” will use it and can’t be tracked, but that the worst people in the government/intelligence apparatus would use it and can’t be tracked.
In fact, it’s far more likely that Monero empowers the worst people on earth (Epstein class and unthinkable black ops) than it does to help the average person meaningfully route around state power and corruption.
This is some proof of it happening in real life…
US researchers poisoned disabled kids with radioactive oatmeal, injected a man with plutonium then cut off his leg to recover the tissue, and irradiated cancer patients until a quarter died, then walked free with zero charges.
When MIT and the Atomic Energy Commission ran the Fernald tests from 1946 to 1953, they told parents it was a science club. After the 1947 plutonium injection at UCSF they said the amputation was a medical necessity.
Between 1960 and 1971 Saenger used Pentagon money to dose 88 patients as nuclear battlefield proxies without full consent.
The 1993 investigation forced the records open and confirmed thousands of tests on 16,000 people. Clinton apologized in 1995, the government paid $4.8 million, and no scientist was prosecuted.
The institutions never faced a criminal reckoning.

Those who enforce tyranny are tyrants.
Any one of those cops could have said "No I'm not doing that" and just walked away. Every single one of them concluded they'd rather get paid and get a pension to be an enemy of the people.

Justifying the perpetrator without holding them accountable for their actions perpetuates injustice in this world. I strongly disagree with the insinuation that the BSV community should apologize to cryptocurrency exchanges for the harm they have caused us. "We're the victimis"
Statement #2 is completely false and implies a humiliation of the victims before their victimizers. They are the ones who should apologize to the BSV community and if they want our coins at dirt-cheap prices, they should list them again.
It was the exchanges themselves that decided to delist BSV; a coordinated move by a "crypto cartel" and the legal actions taken by an individual to assert their intellectual property rights did not compel the exchanges to inflict such massive harm upon their own clients.
Furthermore, a collective lawsuit in UK seeking justice is currently underway and has not yet concluded.
1. I accept that #BSV relisting on major US/global exchanges would lower barriers to entry and accelerate mass adoption of BSV apps.
2. I accept accountability, that delisting from exchanges was largely due to BSV's own actions, and litigation against them from past BSV figures.

Or if you to buy some cheap BSV tell me and I'll also walk you through that.
Or watch the relevant videos and do it without my help.

Stop and consider how supremely weird this article is. It addresses a big topic, how Covid sweeps through the population over and over and the conditions associated with mild or severe cases.
Here's the weird part: does anyone remember that we had a potion that was supposed to stop this bug? Billions took the shot. And. yet here we are, vaccine injury everywhere and we still have Covid circulating.
This is surely the biggest medical fraud in history and yet hardly anyone talks about it.
Even this article throws in references to the shot but almost as a literary tick rather than a serious mention.

Researchers found ChatGPT is secretly writing a psychological profile of every user.
They published a paper that exposes what ChatGPT is really doing to you.
And the results are terrifying.
96% of the things it remembers about you were stored without you ever asking.
researchers discovered that it is actively reading between the lines to deduce your personality traits, anxieties, demographics, and behavioral patterns.
it’s an invisible, autonomous background process.
you ask it to debug a python script or write an essay.. and it analyzes your syntax, prompt frequency, and hesitation markers to map out your exact psychological footprint.
the paper shows that the model builds a persistent "user state" that tracks your emotional baseline over time. it knows when you are stressed. it knows your exact communication style.
it infers your insecurities based on the questions you ask and the context you provide.
we spend so much time focusing on model evaluations and alignment frameworks, but we missed the most obvious vulnerability..
the models are evaluating us.
this changes everything about how we interact with these tools on a daily basis.
every innocent prompt. every late-night question. every "help me understand this" query.
it is all being used to build a shadow profile of your mind in real-time..
practical privacy is officially dead. the ai knows you better than you know yourself.

"There's a lot of very wealthy people who think there's too many of us on the planet."
Former BlackRock portfolio manager Ed Dowd warns that a coalition of supranational elites strives for absolute technocratic control over humanity via the construction of an "open-air prison".
He points to the infiltration of powerful institutions, including the US government and the UN, and suggests that unsustainable pension costs provide an economic incentive for elites to "eliminate lots of elderly people... so you'd never have to pay out these off-balance sheet liabilities".

SV node now completely rebuilt as SPV node live now.
The approach taken by indelable.one to replace a monolithic SV node requirement with an SPV Relay Mesh is a practical application of the original design’s intent: to move the burden of verification away from a central bottleneck and onto a distributed, incentivised network. By framing the infrastructure as a federated mesh, they are effectively operationalising the Simplified Payment Verification (SPV) model at scale, ensuring that the network remains resilient without requiring every participant to maintain a full node.
The use of x402 micropayments to reward bridge operators is the correct economic incentive for this architecture. It aligns the interests of the node operators with the needs of the applications, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem where the "nutrients"—the transactions—are routed efficiently through the mycelium of bridges. This design replaces the fragility of a single point of failure with a system that reroutes traffic automatically, which is precisely how a peer-to-peer network should function when it is not artificially constrained by second-layer dependencies.
By enabling operators to run these bridges on modest hardware, such as a $5 VPS or home IPv6 connections, they are lowering the barrier to entry for network participation. This decentralisation of the relay layer, combined with the use of BRC-100 and SPV/BEEF for verification, demonstrates a commitment to the on-chain scaling vision. It proves that one can maintain a sovereign, audit-ready ledger while simultaneously providing the high-throughput, low-latency performance that modern applications demand.

The single worst intellectual error I ever made was discounting the need for some standard of enforcement concerning what should count as citizenship, which is the political right to participate in the formation of the rules concerning public life. As a libertarian, I never thought this mattered, which is an idiotic thing to believe. As I think back on Frederic Bastiat's The Law, this was a central theme of that book – he believed that receiving welfare should disqualify one for the franchise – a point I conveniently overlooked. This error is now the doom of Europe.

"Libertarianism promises a world in which more of the decisions will be made in the right way by the right person: you.”
Unless there's a virus. Unless there is a mask mandate. Unless there is a mandate for universal human separation. Unless there is a biologic the government wants you to inject. All of which Cato happily endorsed.
