We talk a lot about industrial productivity but I think one of the greatest boons AI has provided is to people who just don't want to deal with the most basic of adult obligations (learning in college, parenting, listening, communicating with other adults, etc)

This is actually a condescending view of working-class people. I grew up in a working-class immigrant family and we ate at Red Lobster and The Cheesecake Factory for "fancy nights out." But even we understood that the White House should not look like the inside of a Red Lobster. Working-class people are not culturally illiterate just because their experiences are shaped by their limited means.

This is Dwight Eisenhower's globe. He was Chief of Army War Plans at the start of WWII. As the Germans conquered Europe, Ike filled in their advances with a green pen. The globe was in the area of the Pentagon hit on 9/11. I do not know if it survived.
