The AUDACITY. You already HAVE the world's supply of RAM. Spinning hard drives have almost tripled in price thanks to datacenters but yea, sure, it's MY fault for wanting a crumb of RAM for my PC. Fuck off Sam.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

New: Proton CEO Andy Yen just cancelled the company's 're-interviews'. Comes after our investigation The re-interviews would have been about how workers were using AI, with the clear implication you might be fired "He has a rebellion on his hands." 404media.co/protons-ceo-canc…

The PM is a weak leader with even weaker followers. I've always called it out that the longer he stays in power, the closer he gets to becoming a dictator. But anyways 1PM inuh ✌🏼🔔

Steve Jobs in 2010: “Touch surfaces don’t wanna be vertical... it’s ergonomically terrible” Apple in 2026: “...you’ll wanna reach out and touch it”

"We've done tons of user tests on this, and it turns out it doesn't work. Touch surfaces don't want to be vertical. It gives great demo, but after a short period of time you start to fatigue, and after an extended period of time, your arm wants to fall off. It doesn't work. It's ergonomically terrible." - Steve Jobs on touch screen laptops 🤷‍♂️ Windows 8 was pushing touchscreen laptops in 2012, and parts of the tech press insisted touch didn’t belong on a PC... Can’t wait for the same idea to become “innovation” with an Apple logo 🥰
We’re glowing with excitement over the new MacBook Pro. You’ve gotta touch it to believe it.

So Apple waited 7 years to ship a folding phone that is Thicker than the competition Heavier than the competition Buggier than the competition More expensive than the competition Still has a crease And suffers from the same reliability issues all first-gen folding phones suffer from? LMAO
The problem appears serious and could even escalate into a recall.

My Surface Laptop Ultra Review is LIVE: It's the closest thing yet to a MacBook Pro with Windows, but it's not without flaws. windowscentral.com/hardware/… I love the design. Yes, it looks like a MacBook Pro. But I think it makes some key design improvements in subtle ways. It has the best trackpad I have ever used thanks to its large size, accuracy, and new haptic engine system. It also has incredible built in speakers which sound amazing, probably the best I've heard on a Windows laptop. There's also the new magnetic USB-C port, which is genius, and I hope it comes to more Windows laptops in the future. But the new mini LED display is a bit of a let down. It's plenty bright, and very color accurate, but with just 1,344 dimming zones, there's an annoying ghosting effect that is very apparent when scrolling or moving light windows on dark backgrounds. RTX Spark delivers pretty great performance for a chassis of this size and caliber. Battery life is just okay, though sleep endurance is great. Copilot+ PC features are missing at launch, and aren't expected to ship for a number of months yet, unbelievably. Check out the link for my in-depth review!

This is really cool: you can soon change Windows Settings directly from the new native Windows 11 Search UI. Here's everything coming to Windows Search: - Faster Search with lower memory usage thanks to WinUI 3. - Inline Windows actions like turning on Bluetooth, Night Light, or dark mode. - Quick system controls such as mute, dim screen, or minimize all windows. - Window arrangement actions to snap and organize apps from Search. - Better matching for typos and synonyms so Search understands what you meant. - Inline previews and richer results for files, web answers, weather, stocks, and more. Windows is so back!
