The Cubs just won 22-4, scoring 5 more runs/points than the Chicago Bears averaged in 2016 (17.4).

Sitting on a diehard fan’s $1,000 for 10+ years just to screw them when you finally make it to the World Series is bad, bad business. Corporate greed is sick
Two Kenosha brothers who paid $1,000 each for a Milwaukee Brewers "Timeless Ticket" more than a decade ago say the team isn't fully honoring the promise that came with it — the chance to sit in the best available seats for a game as big as the World Series. More at the link in o

If a 6-0 team in your league is so deep and good that he is opting to play with one less player so that he doesn’t have to drop anyone, just chalk up your season. It’s over.
Fantasy football: Should a Manager be allowed to start a roster that isn’t completely full due to not wanting to Sacrifice his bench to the waiver wire. Ex: Team is 6-0 and they have multiple byes. Instead of filling their roster, they play without a defense or RB. Poll below:

I hate to publicly conceptualize this - but as Cubs fans, we have peaked. No season will compare to 2016. The iconic players and gravity of the situation will never be topped.
10 years ago today, Jake Arrieta hit a 3-run home run off Madison Bumgarner to give the Cubs the lead in Game 3 of the 2016 NLDS 🤯 Arrieta was the first pitcher to homer off Bumgarner in his career.

Still relevant today. Legend
This is one of the most incredible moments of Mike Ditka’s life. He flatly took no shit. True Western Pennsylvanian. Show him respect, he did likewise. But he wasn’t a privileged man-and didn’t shy away fights. Also “250 North Worshington” is correct pronunciation, as he says.

on sundays at Wrigley Field they let kids under 12 run the bases. at the ripe age of 20 (with an extreme case of baby face), i decided to try and see if they would let me out there to run the bases. i successfully ran the bases with a bunch of toddlers and i have no regrets
In 2015, I was 20 and took a trip to training camp to meet @EliManning. Days before I left, they changed the m&g to be for only 150 kids, 12 & under. I got there, LIED that I was 12 and in 5th grade, and STOLE my rightful spot from a child. They’ll have another shot, you may not.

Oh boy
4 batters into the game and I’m not sure the Cubs could have had a worse start. Time to bounce back

PCA was 250-1 to win the MVP three months ago. He is now a heavy favorite over Ohtani.

John Smoltz just went on a rant that Paul Skenes needs to start throwing more innings. I, unaware that IP was an issue for Skenes, looked up his stats. Here are the National League IP leaders in 2025.
