on sundays at Wrigley Field they let kids under 12 run the bases. at the ripe age of 20 (with an extreme case of baby face), i decided to try and see if they would let me out there to run the bases. i successfully ran the bases with a bunch of toddlers and i have no regrets
In 2015, I was 20 and took a trip to training camp to meet @EliManning. Days before I left, they changed the m&g to be for only 150 kids, 12 & under. I got there, LIED that I was 12 and in 5th grade, and STOLE my rightful spot from a child. They’ll have another shot, you may not.

Our hearts are broken with the loss of Tim Wakefield.
Wake embodied true goodness; a devoted husband, father, and teammate, beloved broadcaster, and the ultimate community leader. He gave so much to the game and all of Red Sox Nation.
Our deepest love and thoughts are with Stacy, Trevor, Brianna, and the Wakefield family.

9 years ago, a stud Cubs prospect came up to make his big league debut in Colorado, hitting a game winning HR.
That player, of course, was Javy Báez.
Now, another stud Cubs prospect will make his MLB debut in Colorado. And he just happens to be the guy Báez was traded for.

These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG
