At a gun-seizure press conference, NY AG Letitia James, Queens DA Melinda Katz, and Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez went stone silent when a reporter asked about a House Judiciary report saying their offices told prosecutors to downgrade charges against illegal immigrants so they wouldn’t get deported.
They’ll hold a presser about guns but won’t answer when the same topic hits immigration consequences.

Joe Rogan: I don't know anybody who wasn't willing to talk to Kamala Harris. I tried a bunch of times, and they pretended I made it difficult. That's a lie. They also said they came down and checked out the studio. They didn't. Trump's Secret Service people came and scanned the whole place. Nobody from her organization was ever here.
Joe: I was making it as easy as possible. The one day she offered, I was already booked with him. I said I'd do hers anyway: she had a speech in Houston, and I told them I'd do a podcast at midnight when she was done, or the next day. I was going to release both at the same time. She wasn't willing.
Joe: They gave me a list of things she didn't want to talk about. I said fine. I'll ask about cooking. I just want to sit across from you and find out who you are.
Joe: They wanted staff in the room, and they wanted to know if it would be edited. I said no way. People have to find out who you really are. That feels scary, because there's no get-out-of-jail-free card. But you want to be president. It's supposed to be scary.

“We've been saying it for years, no one cares... and just in every industry, I think there is this weird thing that happens where the expectations of you as whatever your job role is, are much higher. Like you have to do a lot more to prove yourself.
Why is the phone not ringing as much? I did this, what I thought was a really cool thing. I won a BAFTA. Why is it not hitting in the same way? And it causes a lot of self-doubt.
You have to really motivate yourself, and what ends up happening, what I experienced, was like a lot of like, 'You're amazing, you're amazing,' but then never like a kind of return on that. And that makes you put a lot of pressure on yourself. If you're already a perfectionist, that just makes it so much worse.
And it also makes you really mad, and angry, and watchful, hypervigilant. Then when you do get a job, you are applying so much pressure to get it perfect, to try and reach that mountaintop. But the goalposts keep moving. Women of colour inhabit a space that is very unique, that they're both women, and they are people of colour. It's angering.
I've almost surrendered to it. It's frustrating and needs to be changed. But within the system we live in, I don't see that happening anytime soon. So instead now what I'm doing is doing my work really well, being myself, not putting pressure on myself, and doing what I want."

College hockey team captain killed in wrong-way crash with illegal alien.
EXCLUSIVE: University Hockey Captain Killed in Wrong Way Collision With Twice-Deported Mexican Illegal in Sanctuary Connecticut
A beloved member of the University of New Haven community was killed in a head-on collision with a driver who is in the U.S. illegally, federal authorities have confirmed with Border Hawk.
The tragedy unfolded at around 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 16 in North Haven, Connecticut.
Ryan O’Shea, 21, was driving southbound on Interstate 91 when a pickup truck traveling in the wrong direction slammed into his Honda Accord, causing his vehicle to strike two SUVs, Connecticut State Police (CSP) explained in an accident summary.
O’Shea, who was on his way back to campus after playing in a hockey game, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, who suffered “serious life-threatening injuries,” was identified as 31-year-old Guillermo Carmona-Lopez, a resident of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
“In May 2013, Border Patrol arrested Carmona-Lopez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, after he illegally entered the country. Carmona-Lopez was issued an expedited removal and was removed from the country,” the Department of Homeland Security told us.
“He then illegally reentered the country near the Rio Grande Valley after being removed—a felony—and was once again arrested by Border Patrol in May 2013. Carmona-Lopez was issued a final order of removal on May 30, 2013. He then reentered the country at an unknown time and place.”
It is currently unclear if Carmona-Lopez will face charges in connection with the crash.
A resident of Stony Point, New York, O’Shea served as senior assistant captain of the university’s club hockey team and also chapter president of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
He was studying criminal justice with a concentration in police science and aspired to work for the New York Police Department.
“Ryan was not only a great leader, but he was a caring friend to anyone around him. He always knew how to light up a room and make people laugh, no matter the time. Ryan’s leadership and the memories he has made will never be forgotten,” Kappa Sigma wrote in an Instagram post memorializing O’Shea.
Ryan’s sisters said he “always found a way to make everything positive.”
“He was always trying to go out of the way to help others and include them in new spaces if they didn’t know anyone,” Kiera O’Shea stated.
Two memorial scholarships have been established in Ryan O’Shea’s name. Contributions can be made here.
We contacted CSP to request more information on this investigation and Carmona-Lopez’s current condition and will provide updates if they become available.

"What did you hand off to the gentleman that walked out of his house?" the officer asks 55-year-old business owner Biancha Tatum on video.
"His coffee cup," Tatum tells him. "I'm tired of him leaving his mess in my car."
The officer still asks to search her vehicle: "Well, that's what it looked like."
"I'm a business owner, okay? I don't sell drugs, do drugs… I gave him a coffee cup. It was a white coffee cup!"
